Re: the lost plane
Anyone else starting to think that the plane did land somewhere?
It seems odd that a passenger jet liner carrying over 230 people, probably 350 pieces of luggage, contracted cargo, beverage cans / bottles, flotation seats, probably a 1,000 lbs. worth of plastic, wool carpet, hundreds of laminated magazines, and heck knows what else is on those planes could crash into the ocean and leave no debris. They can locate schools of sharks from the air, but they can't find a debris field from a crashed passenger plane?
Not to mention that there were probably at least 100 cell phones on that plane and nobody sent a message at any point during this flight deviation? I've flown 4 times this year and they can't keep the phones shut off when everything is going normal, let alone when things are not.
It will make quite a story if they find the plane on the ground with sruvivors living in a cave somewhere.....so strange.

Re: the lost plane
ok here comes the ACpower missing plane theory...
I think it was hi jacked, and we knew that very same day it was hi jacked
now with technology today do you think that it is even slightly possible that we could override pilot control and control the plane from satellite?
remember after 9/11 not just air marshalls were added, boeing made some big changes some that they did not disclose
maybe not enough control for complex flying, but enough to send it on auto pilot in a safe direction until it runs out of fuel?
hence the very straight course it took after making the u turn
better than the plane flying into a building

Re: the lost plane
I wonder how fast a jet liner can be stripped on the ground? Pull the wings and hide the air frame in a hanger can't take too long and they had a few days head start didn't they?
I'm betting it is on the ground somewhere....I do say hijacked as well. It is the only explanation for the lack of cell phone usage.

Re: the lost plane
I also think it's disappearance is fascinating, and there's no sign of wreckage! Because like Rob said there would be plunty of unsinkable debris that surly would have been spotted by now!
Crazy it could just disappear with all the modern technology today..
I'm betting Hijacked also, but it would take a hell of a master plan, and for it to go off 100% perfect to pull off, I think........
Three things........
If Terrorist hijacked the plane, they would have had to collect everyone's cell phones before anyone of them got a call/text out!...what are the chances of that?
And for the plane to not be tracked, all GPS, Radar, and what ever is used to transmit tracking signals, would have had to been shut off in flight?.....Is it even possible to fly a jumbo jet with that stuff off, and could it actually be shut off during flight?
And WHY?....What would be the point for Terrorist to do it?

Re: the lost plane
Maybe the cells were hacked going through the checkpoints and they could just shut them down on command?
Like you said, for this to have gone off without a hitch would take good planning and perfect execution....unless you had some help from a supportive government.

Re: the lost plane
I just did a little reading up on airline crashes and reviewed the A330 Airbus crash (Air France) in the late 80's. In that case, the plane hit the water at about 120 kph and despite the force of the impact, the only thing found on the surface later was a couple of seats, briefcase, backpack, life vest, and 2 bodies. The rest went below the surface and stayed there until recovery.
So, if they are searching in the right location, I guess it is possible that there would be no debris except for maybe the jet fuel on the surface, which the rough seas would have dissipated by now. Then again, they were receiving distress signals from that plane....nothing from this recent one, which still doesn't add up.
I admit it, I am a sucker for a mystery....just look at the money pit on Oak Island, someday they need to solve that one too.

Re: the lost plane
The minute Israel announced they're tightening their air security, I knew that they know something we don't know, so yes there's a huge chance the plane is hijacked

Re: the lost plane
Except jet fuel on surface.
Milspec according to the experts the jet run out of fuel before crashing

I guess that makes sense, but since they can't find the plane, maybe they are wrong. When Air France went down, it did so do going into a stall that resulted in a 3.5 minute free fall in the end. Since this flight was off radar, the assumption that it flew until it ran out of fuel might not be correct...maybe it ended the flight long before that?
At any rate, I am no expert, so they are probably correct on the fuel, but the whole thing just doesn't add up. The real interesting thing is that the plane went into a climb to max altitude for some reason before dropping off radar. In the case of Air France, it also went into a max climb with wide open throttle due to issues with the computer going through turbelance....odd how they seem to have similar patterns.
Re: the lost plane
Milspec don,t you ever sleep ?
Google maps can see a car parked on the street, we can read a number plate from space.
All great technology but we can,t find a passenger jet. Go figure.
