Unsolved Mystery Empty Unsolved Mystery

Since this plane crash has people intrigued, I thought you might want to try one of my all-time favorite unsolved mysteries. This has intrigued me since I first read about when I was 12 years old.....still baffles me. I really hope that somebody solves this one before I die!

Haha, I agree...I didn't have to patients to read it all, but it does sound intriguing.........I got the feeling it could be related to Extraterrestrial Beings??  alien  alien

Unfortunately, I read it all. And most of the comment below it.

It is a pretty long treatise on the subject....I didn't see a short version out there.

For those who prefer the cliff notes version, it goes like this:

1. A pit is found beneath a hanging block and tackle on Oak Isalnd
2. First attempts to dig it out looking for pirate treasure fails
3. Later attempts discover a very cleaver flood trap and hints of buried treasure
4. Generations of famous people have tried and failed to defeat the trap
5. Trap is fed by tunnels dug beneath the island...nobody can defeat.
6. Theories galore on what is down there, who built it, and how to defeat it.
