Being respectful
The reason why I joined real cleaners to begin with was because the members are a lot nicer and respectful and helpful, not because I can buy stuff at a discounted rates, Joe can confirm that by checking the date I joined and my first order.
My point is I want this place to be different than other cleaning forum where trashing other people was a common thing, there has to be some kind of a clear line between jokes and being disrespectful, basically if you can't say something nice, then don't say it at all, what say you ?

Re: Being respectful
I thought this place pretty much WAS that place.
Saying something in text and something in person can be interpreted different ways, but the meaning by the speaker was the same.

Re: Being respectful
James, this is a quote I took from other thread, you decide if this is a joke or can be interpreted in different ways :
"Take a crap on it and leave, it will be an improvement so be sure to charge them for it."
Don't get me wrong, I'm all for jokes but I seriously think this is too much, and I also seriously think Joe's way of banning "not so nice" people on the "real cleaners forum" is the way to go to keep their act clean, may be a fair warning or something prior to ban, not telling the moderators what to do, just trying to make this a better place for everyone.

Re: Being respectful
Listen here Marry Poppins, Sorry you didn't like the joke, seems your not the only one. But , lets call it what it was,,, a failed joke. No big deal.
What Is disrespectful is to start a whole thread trying to throw someone under the bus, over some thing that was
not mean spirited,
not disrespectful,
not demining of any one,
it was , a joke fail. I think grown men should be able to get past stuff like that, don't you?
Also, it is un fair to quote what I said with out the context in which I said it, that was a reply on a thread about a supper filthy carpet , basically was saying that no matter what the cleaner did, it would be an improvement.
My advice , find something more worth worrying about.

Re: Being respectful
Listen a$$hole, you don't like my thread, DON'T REPLY !
You're not worth my time responding, don't like to waste my time for some morons that don't respect people for what they do for a living !
Oh one more thing, learn how to spell first a$$wipe ! It's super not supper !
See Mo and Ryan, these kinds of people is like poison for the rest of us, I've never act this rude before in the forum !
I don't need to participate in this forum but I was invited by Joe Bristor when this forum started to help other cleaners which I have been doing, but I won't do it under these kinds of environments with these kinds of morons that have no respects for us real cleaners.

Re: Being respectful
Lets review, the guy who wants everyone to be respectful, calls me an A hole, an A wipe, and a Moron. After trying to throw me under the bus,
Really?? WOW!!!

Re: Being respectful
Yes really ! Why did I do that ?? Because the a$$hole, the a$$wipe and the moron started the same sh*t that he did in the other thread, call it a joke, humor or whatever you want to call it, I'm just expressing my opinion about it and you called me "marry poppins" ? Well that was the response from "marry poppins".
You sir, just brought the worst of me, I'm not as nice and respectful as davey in his response to your so called "joke", and I'm sure if you or other morons like you keep doing what they're doing, this place would be no different than TMF or Mikeys Board which I was never and will never be a member of.
You have a wonderful day :-)

Re: Being respectful
I understand what you are saying. No one here, (I think) wants to deal with grating attitudes. Again, I will refer you to my previous comment in this thread. Written communications lose the speakers meaning in transition.dp1 wrote:James, this is a quote I took from other thread, you decide if this is a joke or can be interpreted in different ways :

I *think* it was handled within the thread already. Both parties have said what they had to say, and it seems the issue was done with. I read the thread, and Andy's comment. At first I thought the same as you. That it was a ill spirited comment. If Andy had not come back to explain it was his way of making a joke, then I would say he would have made the comment to be derogatory.
Not my place to tell Mo or the Mods how to run this place. I think they are doing ok. You just can't get so worked up over a offhand comment. I too can crack a joke now and then (see Ryan's bunghole thread) but I can't always guarantee that my funny will always be taken that way.

Re: Being respectful
James, like I said earlier, I'm all for jokes, I was actually laughing so hard about that bunghole thread, THAT was hillarious and I don't think Ryan is offended in any way ( I've seen him offended and it showed in his response ).
And like I had said, I'm not telling the admins what to do, I said "what say you ?" Didn't I ?
I was simply suggesting things to make this forum a better place which will make us better persons.
I was also simply pointing at one example of one thing that was plain rude in my opinion, there were others that I can point out but I would rather not.
We're all professional cleaners here, I personally expect us to be one, even in our jokes, is that too much to ask ?

Re: Being respectful
On any given thread we all can see and post rude and sarcasm remarks. Just police yourselves and work it out like we are. Or me and Mo will have to get rough.

Re: Being respectful
I see no insult at all in Andy's comment.
No need for anyone to get their panties all bunched up over it.
Crude humor yes....but I was under the impression we are all grown men here.....maybe we need a special "Pink" room for the girls to hang out in where fart and d*ck jokes will be off limits as to not offend the overly sensitive..........Good Grief

Re: Being respectful
Goomer is a wise man. Really guys, I get the the joke was a flop. Sorry about it.
But for crying out loud, talk about an over reaction,
So the guy who wants respectful dialogue insults goomer,
calls me an A hole,
Moron,
and A- wipe, (twice)
I really don't know what to say, I feel like I'm in an episode of the twilight zone.

Re: Being respectful
Well, the admin said "police ourselves", I was just simply policing my own thread and replies, if I feel it's not appropriate then you'll receive inappropriate response, call it childish, non mature, whatever you want to call it, looks like it's going to be a jungle out here

Thank you for making this board more respectable. You should receive the RC man of the year award for exposing the mean man (Andy) for what he is.

Re: Being respectful
I agree DP we should be respectful to all members. Andy has a sarcastic sense of humor and if you don't know him he could come across as being an a hole but he's a good guy.

Re: Being respectful
Look guys, the whole reason why I started this thread was to get everyone's attentions to be more respectful and a little more careful with their jokes, sarcasm jokes can p*ss some people off and guess what I was called for doing that, Marry Poppins, that was stupid, seriously, I was p*ssed off.
Look Andy, I've seen your posts since the old real cleaners forum and I've never seen you like that, you've always been respectful to other members and helpful as well.
It was my strong defensive nature that kicked in real hard yesterday and for that I apologize.
Btw how's Bill ( tmdry ) doing ? I believe he's your buddy right ?

Bill is my buddy. We talk often, he is doing well. I'm the same guy as the old board you just never got a chance to warm up to me before this thread, you would see I'm a harmless guy , Just a typical Irishmen , most everything I say is with a wink and a smile.
