Re: Government shutdown
My personal thoughts are, I have no problems with a wall being built. But I also don't want to spend the money if they are not going to follow the rules of LEGAL immigration.
A wall is a good deterrent for run of the mill boarder jumpers.
But I feel they need to go farther and prosecute those that give housing and assistance to illegal immigrants. After all, we do prosecute those assisting other criminals. Why should those helping illegal immigrants (law breakers) be any different?
And as far as the shutdown goes, good for Trump. When Dems were in less seats, they were all screaming for Trump to give them a deal, but now they have a few more seats, they want to act like they own the game. If this is what it takes to get the morons in politics to get things done, then so be it.

Re: Government shutdown
If I was a federal worker, I would be pissed. They need to make government shut downs illegal
Re: Government shutdown
I don't have a problem with a shut down. I DO HAVE a very BIG problem expecting ANY worker, to work without PAY.

Re: Government shutdown
If Pelosi and the others would set down and work together, I'm talking about both Dem and Rep and not about taking week long trips when the government that they are part of is shutdown. Then you stay in DC and fix it after all that's your job right. Think about it if you don't do your job what happens. YOU GET FIRED.
Just my opinion.
