Pricing....ouch
Was looking for some quick disconnects for solution lines.
SS @ Jondon ....female..$50+ea . male....$20+ea
Holy cow.
On eBay can get a SS set for little over $30 + ship
Brass ones were about the same as usual. At JD.

Re: Pricing....ouch
SS sets were always expensive, but you really only need the SS males in my view. I think any more you might be better off shopping for things like those in other industries to find better pricing.
Re: Pricing....ouch
Pressuretek or Envirospec.
Both carry male and female SS quick connects for pressure lines. Both are under 10 bucks for females and males.
You'd probably find new solution line there cheaper too.

How many sets are you looking to get. I can check my source. I think that the last brass sets I sold I got 16 or 17 dollars for the set. Not sure if they have the SS, but I can check. Not much call for them here so I don't have them of asked for them

Brands are important with QC's in my view. The cheap ones are rarely the best choice as they fail far sooner.

Re: Pricing....ouch
Yes it sure is. I bought a dozen sets a few years ago on sale that were garbage and only lasted 4 months before they failed. I have some premium sets going on 3 years now without trouble.

Hansen are what is preferred in the PW communities.
Solid stainless is solid stainless. But you are right, you definitely need to read the description.

I have a SS female on sol. line on my TM; going on 3+ years. Yet, the one i hook up to the wand; they last about a year.
AND its time to change it. last few jobs it was really hard to get on the wand.
would new Orings and a dab of lube help?

Re: Pricing....ouch
If it's a male plug giving you problems, they get dents in the shoulder from the bearings in the female coupler. If you smooth those dents out, they will last a while longer.
Don't let a male plug get too bad with the dents. They are known to get bad enough, you can't get the male and female quick connects apart.
I wouldn't change the o-ring unless it might be leaking. But I'll have spares on hand for myself in case I need them.

Once they get difficult to attach, they often just need a good shot of WD-40 or similar product. At the end of each job I always set my tools upright and spray each QC with a generous hit of WD-40 and cycle them a little. If they fight you when you try to push them on, it is because there is fluid pressure behind it from a leaking poppet. Spray them down often.
I think it also matters a little on the orientation of the qc's. Do you run a female on the tools or a male? I think mounting the males on the tools with females at the end of the solution hose, you get longer life as the males never hit the ground hot or get dragged around. I have no proof to back it up, but it has been the way I run since I was told that back in the mid-'80's.
