New one to me
I was finishing up my surge of commercial building cleanings tonight and was facing a theater lobby and concourses that looked spotless when I arrived. I didn't see any stains, spills, popcorn, candy, or an graying by soil. If I had to guess, I would have thought that it had just been cleaned within the last few days.
I called the Manager and told her that although I like the work, it didn't appear to need a cleaning. She said, "clean it" and that was that.
What should have taken 5.5 hours, was knocked out in just over 2 hours. No gum, no stains, nothing.
That was a first for me, cleaning something that didn't need it. I really doubt there will be much difference in appearance....odor maybe. Maybe she was just after the "clean" smell?

As long as the check clears, the customer is right in this situation. Lol.
I'd come back and clean it tomorrow if they wanted.

Re: New one to me
I should call her when the check clears and recommend another cleaning! Great idea Freemind.

I get empty rental houses all the time, like that. A 1 or 2 on a scale of 1-10.

Amen to this, lol.
Down here in CA rentals are required by law to have the carpets steam cleaned before new tenant is moving in, of course there are a lot of landlords not doing that, but most will abide by law.
My repeat customer for many years today ask me how much do I owe you today ? I told her $ 160, she balked at me and asked me "when are you going to raise your price ?" I was like for you, not anytime soon, lol, it was a 1 bedroom cleaning around the bed, lots of pet stains though, and she always tip $ 40, today she tipped $ 60, $ 220 for 1 bedroom, lol.

I'm in the middle of knocking out a theatre. One area is the worst its ever been in 5 years. Its an 8. Looks like someone tipped over a garbage can full of pop, butter... About a 20x40 area. Renting a square scrubber tomorrow to prscrub.
The personal booths are not that bad.

if they want it done then sure! ill just assume they are germaphobes
Hey mil do you wand all your huge commercial if your not encaping?
I think the zipper could be a nice tool if your doing a lot of commercial, being able to just walk up and down hallways full length. residential its just a heavy drag wand.

I wand all of them these days. I tried the Zipper, but it didn't pan out at all. Without going too much into it, the chatter was a problem and it was a back breaker....just like all drag wands.
