Along with the quad copters I have ordered lately, I've also bought an action camera, similar to a GoPro.
The plan is to do videos for personal and business use.
Does anyone edit their own videos and what are you using? It's all new to me.

You are ahead of me a bit, but I just started recording music and my software includes video editing. I am sure that there are dedicated video software out there, but if you use an apple system, you can probably edit using "Garage Band" which is already part of the Apple installed software.

All Apple computers come with these 4 programs pre installed, iWeb, iMovie, garage band and idvd which are all integrated and work seamlessly with each other, Hey how about that.

You two forget I am anti apple.
I have been cruising youtube for advice, but I would rather talk to someone who actually uses the software.
Action cameras are super cheap. The accessories are cheap. Now is a great time to jump in the water.

Thats ok, PC or Mac--iphone or android phone, they all basicly do the same thing and it all boils down to personal preference. Generally speaking, No ones wrong and no ones right in these arguments

That is one of the best features with Apple and one of the strong temptations that I had doing my search originally.
How in-depth do you want to get with this? Simple commercial video or something really creative?

Well, I'm not willing to spend HUNDREDS on software. But I'm not after freeware either.
To start off, I'm looking at Serfif Movie Effects x6.
I just want decent video. I don't need an Adobe program for several hundred to make movie quality stuff.

I would look to ebay and purchase a full-feature video editing software that was a few versions behind the latest and greatest. Probably cost less than $30 and still be far better than any freeware stuff.
