Banks Are Jumping Empty Banks Are Jumping

I seem to be getting a reputation as "Bank-Friendly" or something.  I just met with another bank VP and booked a building clean for the first week in Jan.  I am amazed at how much carpet there is in these modern banks.  This one is just under 20,000 sqft!  That is a lot of carpet and the hose runs look to be about 350 feet.

My suspicion is that I must be a lot cheaper than the last cleaner as they don't blink when I provide the estimate....this one actually pounced on it and pulled out the calendar on the spot to schedule it.  It makes me wonder what is going on as I am actually bidding them on the high side for commercial around here.....makes me wonder if they had been getting charged the much higher residential rate before me?

Either way, I am good with the price and it should go a long way to helping me make my January which is normally dead.  Just have to get some cooperation from Mother Nature to not spoil it.

How do you set hoses up and keep "security" in place?

I have a good friend in that town who happens to be a Deputy Sheriff. He will be working off duty in uniform manning the open door. He is actually cheaper than my helper.

Banks Are Jumping Empty Re: Banks Are Jumping

That seems to be the trend around here. The previous cleaner encapped and charged high, so the banks bought there own machine and took over the encap cleanings, but the encap is no longer effective.

Hiring me is a lot cheaper than buying their own truck mount and tools. Hard to replace HWE cleaning on the cheap. There are a few lessons to be found in this situation.

I have full service (janitorial, carpets, windows) cleaning agreements with two of the local banks. They are relatively easy to clean because they have very defined high traffic and low traffic areas. Customers don't wander around in banks, they just stand in line, do business with tellers then leave. The office traffic is very gentle, so when I do the carpet cleaning the offices are easy.

Great point about the traffic levels, I didn't consider that.

My last couple banks cleaning was quite the opposite, they were trashed and worn out really bad, but they didn't expect miracle, so I just used ph 13 pre sprays and steam the heck out of them, I don't really like cleaning them due to the amount of bank robberies in LA, I tend to increase my life insurance before I clean them, lol.

I wouldn't even clean at night in your area Dp! In my burg, people would probably bring me coffee and ask to help. Laughing
