A few year back I modified the hose coming off the tm. From waste tank 2.5"(10') to rc99-which was 2.5" in and out. Then about 40' of 2.5", 2" the rest of the way. Liked the increase in cfm... But abit combersome laying out the big hose.
So I did the 2.5" vac hose thing. Hard to manage set up of just 50' coming off the tm. So I went back to reg 2", as well as 2" rc99.
The other day I found about 5' of 2.5" hose laying around. So I riged that up coming off the filter, then 2" rest of the way. So instead of 40' off the filter, its just 5'.
I could hear a difference at the wand, as in more cfm.

new mod of using 2.5" 20170410

Felt like I only had 50' of hose laid out. And with the rv360 at the end of 150', it did well.

Looks like a simple concept....always the best ones as well.

I think I will try that with the TNT set-up next week.

I thought you guys have been doing it that way,I always have 2 - 5' hoses between the vac inlets and the filter, but I use 2" instead of 2.5", I'm too lazy to modify the inlets.

I do use 2 inlet hoses (2 inch) to the filter, but just a 2 inch out. Matt is running a 2.5 out until a reducer takes it down to 2 inch. That is the side that I haven't been doing.

On the TNT, I have it set up to run 2 + 2.5 to the filter, so I will add the 2.5 out of the filter for about 10 feet before reducing to 2 near the door.

I have 2 rc99's. A 2" , and 2.5".
I have the 2.5er on and had been going with 2" hose right off the lid.. I just added the 6' of 2.5". I use to run 40' of the 2.5
