Effective 10/31/2014

I have decided to end The Cleaners Lounge effective 10/31/2014. I'm making it that date because Joe and Bill have paid for advertising through that date. Life is way too short to be dealing with this drama. There are a lot of great people on this forum that can think independently, be respectful and that have been very helpful to fellow cleaners and for that I thank you.

And hopefully that will give you guys plenty of time to transition to another forum. I just realized that the vision I had for this forum may have hurt fellow cleaners and their families. I don't want anyone else to inadvertently saying or doing some thing that might end their business relationship with Joe.

That's too bad Mo, but I understand your stance.

Mo, what's the deal man? If this is about you not wanting to deal with the pressure of managing a group of contributors. So what ya gonna do with the content of the forum? You gonna trash it like Fostor? Dang man, of ya felt This way why it reach out to your mods to keep things running for the collective whole? Who cares about money? Who cares about MB? Who gives two flips about TMF? Dang man, keep this place going, even of just for your own enjoyment. You can structure a murge of leadership.

I think this is a very unselfish thing to do. Looking out for others and their familes is a good thing. If everything has to be a pissing match and a fight, why keep doing it?

I know I wouldn't go out of my way to help others if they kept pissing in my cornflakes either. Especially if I saw others loosing their abilty to feed their family over it.

You're right Ryan I probably should have consulted with you and Rob first.
I'm not as tech savy as the other tech guys on the other forums Ryan. Im just a cleaner I wouldn't know where to start as far as transitioning the content to some where else. In fact if I were to do it over again I would have just used vbulliton instead of this platform

We all are Mo! I have no idea about the tech stuff. All the guys want here is a place to hang out, just like you wanted in the beginning. Go back to the beginning man, it's simple. No one here wants to retire on the income stream brought about busy the lounge. We all just want to build on an idea.

Ok guys things got a little out of control because of hot heads but let's all COOL it and take a step back, let's try to figure this out, first of all to attack Mo because he charges a couple members for advertisement and not the other is definitely NOT cool, okay ! To proof it's not cool, let me ask you guys this, if you were to give your service for free here and there just because you want to do it because you're the owner of the business, whatever the reason may be, the other customers can't attack you for your giving, period !
Second, this happened just because Tony posted his link in the hard surface tool thread ?? You guys are more pathetic than 10 year olds, this should've been dealt internally, Joe should've called Mo and tell him about it and Mo can delete them or suspend his account, is that too hard to do ? Instead of attacking a whole bunch of people that most members here give a cr@p about.
Joe, I know you a while now and I know you spit things out when you're upset, I can see why you're upset with certain people in the industry that want to take advantage of fellow cleaners, and I know you're trying to educate people but it doesn't matter how much you tried, you can't get all of them to understand quality over price, they have to learn the hard way and that's the way it always is with some people, that's why there's always market for cheaper stuffs, I bought 3 pmf titanium from you, why ? Because I know what their values are.
So the way I see it, we have a little over a month and a half to figure a way out of this by talking like professionals without attacking anyone, can we at least try ?

This will no longer happen if this forum closes down.  So I hope we can figure out how to transfer some of the load from Mo to keep it alive..............If he's really no longer able to do it.

I'd be willing to take on some of it, in any way I can, rather than see this one, like others in the past, just die off.

Sometimes when the air in the room gets stale, you just have to walk outside and take a deep breath.

You have been very busy this Summer, Mo. Restored that TNT, drove this forum to greater heights, and now moved into a new home. Maybe the air was just getting stale? Maybe the conversation was getting too loud in the lounge? Maybe you just need to step out onto the porch and take a breath?

Maybe there needs to be a road-trip to get the lounge members together to talk in person instead of through a keyboard? Look for that clean air Mo, and if you still feel that way in late October, I'm flying down and we will talk.

Mo, if ya close this thing down. I'm coming over and digging up your bushes around your new house. I might kick your dog too if he is out.

Sorry I have not been on here the last few months. Personal isssues and busy working. Mo, thanks for putting the time in on this. Family is important. This place is a wealth of knowledge. It would be a shame for it all to disappear. Hopefully things will work out. Best of luck Mo. Gerry

Great testy I just got from an RC, makes all I do worthwhile...

Interestingly enough, this guy wasn't happy with the stuff I just sent him. It cleaned well and didn't cause him breathing problems but it didn't blend well with what he wants to clean with.
That's where you guys come in... You guys get to help guys like me discover what IS best for Real Cleaners.  
Fact is, THIS guy HAS helped me move in that direction and I've only known him four months.

Remember what the DfE does guys, it Recognizes safer chemistry for Industry.
Ours is hardly an Industry, but we still have a lot of guys and gals running around breathing toxic fumes all day.
Just as there are safer solvents for the Printing Industry, I am confident there are safer solvents for Professional Cleaners.  
What might be a safer alternative for use as an occasional use spotter in the home may not be the best choice for people who have to breathe the stuff all day.
That's where I come in.
 
I am hopeful that the latest round of solvents I've been Floating around to some of you guys WILL be accepted by you who care.
I just need your help in testing them out in the real world.
WHEN it passes, THEN we will have yet another SAFE surfactant/solvent blend Recognized by the DfE as Safe for OUR Industry.

Stand for something guys.

I am glad Mo finally realized the inevitable truth, that this forum will go nowhere with Joe here constantly “firing” his customers, alienating HIS members, and trying to dictate every move he tries to make regarding HIS forum, and that this forum is doomed to remain the same old 10 member circle-jerk, because that is the way Joe wants it, and has decided to just cut his losses and close up shop.

Here's another one, from a Franchise bonnet cleaner, turned X-Franchise cleaner... now a freed Owner Operator who uses hot water extraction...

Ok here we go again this thread isn't about any one person it's about keeping the forum running. I've not said a lot about the petty drama that gets out of hand on the forum but here goes. First I joined this group of guys I thought to try and help each other out not not belittle, back stab. No wonder Mo wants to call it quits having to put up with a bunch of BS from grown immature acting people. This is about just afew and if what I said pisses you off then guess who I'm talking about. If your work/product or what ever is good quality then that's all I care about. If I don't like a comment on the forum I generally don't reply to it. As I said when I started I will give you the best answer I can do with it what you want. But if all you can do is piss and moan talk trash about each other or how great you are wearing your feeling on your shirt sleeve then grow up  or shut up and leave your not helping anyone. I maybe a small O/O but I do my best to give quality work and not trash talk the other shops. Their customers do that. But when I have customer tell me that a shop over a hundred fifty miles away know who I am or when I  offered a job by another shop because they've heard of my quality work that's all I need. Sorry for the rant Mo but I would like to see this forum keep going but with grown adults. 
Well that's my opinion and opinions are like a$$holes we all have one and we have some big ones here at times and some really stink but stop and think if it's not helping someone keep it to yourself. Thanks
