Re: Clean no smell waste tank always
The RC99 seems to do the trick for me.....and replacing it's liner once a week.
But when I ran a basket in my tank, I always kept it smell free with Pool chlorine tabs.....the ones about the size of a hockey puck. They're real cheap and would last a good month before dissolving.

I didn't throw it in the tank, it would dissolve too quick if you did. I put it in the waste basket that sat in the tank to catch debris.
I have a SS tank, not a prob with that.
But if your tank is aluminum, I'm sure it will speed up the corrosion and take it out even quicker than normal.
Aluminum is about as bad a material that can be used for a waste tank..........it just don't hold up to the toxic water/gases.

Re: Clean no smell waste tank always
I had been using stuff for RV holding tanks which did a great job of controlling odors, but it caused my waste gate to start leaking as it softened the seal.
On aluminum tanks....be very careful or you will be chasing pin-holes with many agents, especially if contain a bleach.
The key for me has come down to just getting all the water out each night and leaving the dump valve open to allow fresh air in. On my Butler tank, I have to park with the rear of the van highly elevated to get all the water to exit.
As long as I can get all the water out...no problem with odors.
You could try Sporicidin if you must use something. It kills fungus, molds, bacteria, and viruses without damaging any metals. I normally fog the tank after a cleaning that funks up the tank.
