Right or Left?
Most vans have the cargo door to the right side, so we naturally run our machines out the same side (or out back), but is that the best side?
Now that I am moving to the box truck, I have the option to right or left and was wondering which is really the most convenient? I don't have a rear option, so it has to go left or right.
In my neighborhoods, there are lots of split entry homes with the driveway to the right of the entrance, so running out of the left makes sense. If running from the street, then it needs to be to the right.
What do you think, if you had to choose, right or left entry?

Re: Right or Left?
One side lines up with the front door when parking off street, you don't always have the option to park in the drive way, and you can always back in if the door is on the other side.

I would go on the right side, for the same reason Andy mentioned, and to top it off, if the front door is on the left of the driveway, you can always open both doors and run the hoses through the cargo or under the truck.

Re: Right or Left?
Good points, thanks for your thoughts.
I am lucky that in the smaller towns, I have always been able to pull into the dirveway, but I kind of forgot that I am talking about a 12 box truck this time instead of a van.
I think I better plan on some street parking, so right side makes the most sense. I just wasn't fully awake when I was thinking about it, I guess.

Re: Right or Left?
I've been thinking about that too Mo as the reels will be mounted from the ceiling.
Re: Right or Left?
right side for sure because many times with a box truck you just park on the street blocking the driveway. We only pull in the drive way when the entry is on the right side of the garage. I prefer to park on the street at the end of the driveway because it gives you room to wind up hoses etc
Re: Right or Left?
I never thought about the rolling of hoses aspect....like the idea of curb parking now. Right side it is.
Re: Right or Left?
I agree, R side seems to make the most sense.
Being able to pull out hose from either side would be a cool feature to have.
