Decided to finally buy this hose. I purchased it directly from Amflex out of San Diego $62.00 for 50 feet. I gotta say you guys were right the hose is lot better than the stiff orange hose

I like this Amflex hose, but had had one minor problem with it, a few times now in a year.

Wondering if it's happened to anyone else?

Every couple months the hose will split right behind the coupler connected to the wand. I know it's obviously a high stress area, but I've never really had this happen much with other hose brands before.

Never happens to me (knocking on wood). I have only had one get twisted up and collapse out of personal error, but not split.

Sounds like maybe it isn't handling the heat. I used to flip my hoses every other job with the El Diablo and old Steam Action units as that portion of hose would almost melt. Hasn't been a problem since buying this butler...just never that hot.

Ive been using the lil better for about 5yrs now.. still on the same set

Its pretty good, holds up well.. but I do like the material of the standard grey 1.5in hose you get with portable machines, its much softer you can literally throw it around the customers home.

lil better is a much harder plastic, the 1.5in portable hose is more like soft rubber on the outside.

Im not sure if it can even handle being 2in in diameter, havent really looked to see if anyone makes it in larger sizes
