I was looking at some different simple fuel tanks and came across what looked like a good deal on a simple Aluminum tank. The description states that it is good for pressure washers, generators, boats, etc. that use gas or diesel.
Then you read the specs and benefits section and find the phrase (bold print mind you) that this tank is "Not for gasoline usage".......WTF??

Reminds me of red fuel jugs I've seen before here in CA that are marked "not for gasoline".

MilSpec,
I think it would work but so many states very from state to state that if YOU choose to use it without checking your local DOT rules, that they cant be held responsible.
It looks like a nice fuel tank, but it may not pass for Cali. Come to think of it mine may not that I have on my trailer either

I haven't researched any state guidelines on this, only the Federal DOT guidelines. Nebraska is pretty relaxed on things like this.
I was looking at fuel cells from the racing world, but it seemed to be a little over-kill with the AN fittings, sumps, foam inserts, etc. I just need a tank to feed a tm, so I will probably go with this one despite the disclaimer.
I plan on paying them with a check stamped "Not for actual payment"....it seems fair.
