Sorry for the hijack Dave. Do you still ride?
Haha, no apology needed, we do it all the time right...........I just thought it was a weird twist to talk about M/C's in this thread, but it doesn't matter to me.
I still ride a bit, but the only bike I still have is my old RD400...it's fun to wheelie down the street every once in awhile.

Re: Slowest time of the year ?
750 Nighthhawk many years ago. Notice the posts today must have been a busy day. lol I had a call today of someone wanting to buy the old chemtex for 3k. I wont let the van and machine go that cheap but the machine, yes. A part of me says go for it the other part says what if the old engine goes out or heat exchanger then I'll feel bad for him its all he has. So I looked on line for some good deals for the Newbie TM cleaner and all I found was alot of junk for lots of $$. I make a terrible salesman.

Dave, yes sir I was.
Brian, if I were you, I would sell it, that's the risk of buying used machine, you can tell him that down the road he may have to change the motor and / or the heat exchanger as with any used machine he's going to buy, that way you're being honest and not intending to screw anyone out, he needs a TM and you need the space and / or $$, it's a win win situation the way I look at it

Re: Slowest time of the year ?
From the people I spoke with down here in Nashville, business is slow down here as well. I've seen the 3 rooms for 60 bucks deals around town.
As for me, I was worried about being gone for the week, but the phone has only rung once for a sofa cleaning. I guess I didn't miss anything.

So I take the Shadow out for a spin the first time since 1996 I was a little excited. I make a right turn going uphill and fish tail on some gravel scared the shoot out of me

I wish....ended up in Nashville for the week. Seen some good hockey, great blues bands, and now I'm ready to come home....packing as I type.

For me the vacation times never come in the right time, almost always when we go somewhere, all heavens break loose. Repeat customers usually willing to wait but new customers in a pinch will hardly blink as soon as you say we can do it tomorrow for you ? They wanted it done yesterday

Sometimes repeat customers do as well.
The only 2 calls that I received during the week were from long-time customers and both wanted it done right away. Even when I told them that I was in Nashville, they asked why I didn't tell them that I would be out of town for the week.
I guess I am supposed to take out a full-page ad if I go on vacation.
