Re: What's up????????
Finished up some wiring on the tnt project, ran 6 miles (low 90's temp), did some laundry, and now I have to drive out to the lake for a family gathering at my wealthy brother's home.
I should enjoy these gatherings, but we are having a photographer take group photos, so I have to pseudo dress up and deal with all the little quirks of the rich people.
An evening of imported wine, upscale food that I can't eat, granite floors that I am not allowed to walk on, a sandy beach that I have to rake after, and all the other "non-fun" crap that goes with it.
I am happy being a broke cleaner. At least I can enjoy myself.

At the gym now, working my butt out since I almost have no time in the week days.
Just enjoying the busy season while it last, after all only 5+ more months left
Will be in Vegas again early next month for 3 days getaway, gotta work hard and play hard

Lol Mo, I only spend about $ 100 - $ 150 in gambling money, if I spend that and I don't win, I will stop, I will drink though, not big on getting drunk, just enough to be tipsy and have a GOOD "quality" conversation, we should hang out in Vegas sometimes Mo, I'll buy the alcohol

I would meet you in Vegas but after all the time you spend at the gym I probably wont be able to recognize you since the last time I saw you
Re: What's up????????
Lolol, no I'm not trying to be big and buff, I'm trying to be toned. So far so good, my body fat was 10% last month, can't wait to measure it again next month.

People pay a lot of money trying to reach 10%...you must be doing something right.

I tried to view Dp, but Arnold must be standing in the way.

Yes I'm surprised you don't see me, my biceps was sticking out behind his thumb, lol.
Well I started going to the gym at 15% bf, so I'm pretty proud with myself after only a short 4 months it was down 4.8%, I'm sure yours is around 6% ? With all the marathons and regular few miles running here and there that you do. I'm just not motivated enough to run and do cardio, I'm also still a fast good junkie at times, no more fried chicken though, that's what I'm avoiding completely and it made a big difference.

Re: What's up????????
Sometimes you can go too low.
Ghandi at about 3.5% would have enough energy in his fat stores to cycle from West to East Coasts without eating a single thing if his body was efficient enough to burn 100% fat and not glycogen.
Fat is a fabulous energy source for long duration events. One of the goals in marathon training is to get your body to burn mostly fat and save your glycogen stores.
We may not be running marathons here, but a long day of cleaning can sure be a taxing event. When you come across a day where you feel exhausted, try eating a cheeseburger or cookie dough and you just might bounce back.
I used to eat an inch of frozen chocolate chip cookie dough 2 hours before my longest training runs. Some I know used to put mayo on there cereal prior to a long run.
Scott Tinley (Hawaii Ironman Winner) once wrote a book on cardio training and the first page told you the following:
Eating a bacon cheeseburger is not bad for you....eating it everyday, will kill you.
You just have to know when you need to eat it. Same goes for that Fried Chicken, if that is your favorite choice. Even the great Steve Prefontaine was known to eat a bowl of ice cream along with his training.

Great info, thanks, with summer schedule, it's a little hard to eat on time every time, I'm sure that's what's holding me back from reaching my goal sooner, and my goal is 6 - 7 % bf, I believe that's not too low for guys ?

Re: What's up????????
It isn't too low depending upon your frame. On a thin frame guy, that is a good percentage, but take a John Wayne frame and force 6% and he would be in trouble.
Keep in mind that there is internal fat around the organs and inside of muscle tissue (marbling) that you don't see, but would still be part of your fat percentage. Some of that is very important to your health.
I applaud your efforts, it is very difficult to achieve those numbers when your schedule is all jacked up. Eating right and finding the time to train takes a lot of dedication......it is impressive.
