Garden Hose Empty Garden Hose

Post by milspec6 Mon Apr 18, 2016 12:16 pm

We have always been looking for an alternative to traditional garden hoses in order to save space in an already cluttered van. The pocket hose made its rounds last year and although the concept was good, the durability wasn't up to our needs.

Today, I loaded up both trucks with this Zero-G hose. It feels pretty durable, time will tell if it is, but I am going to give it a try. The space savings would really be a welcome change and one less hose to untangle and wrestle with.

Fingers crossed......

I know that hose well Pete, I ran it for years too. It was a real bear during the winter...like Kong wrestling the snake.

So far, it feels really good. I just used it on the lawn, but I really think they may have something here. Too bad it isn't good for below freezing temps, but this season is when we work them the most anyway.

I will give updates on the fly.

That is what I have been using for years now, that Flexilla handled the coldest of winters and never gave me a problem. Even after freezing solid a couple of times, it never split nor damage the fittings...still using the original one.

That being said, it does take up space and I don't like that. On the box truck, no problem, but on a cargo van packed to the rafters, I want something that I can just put in a tool bag. That is this hose....if it proves to be durable enough.

Garden Hose Empty Re: Garden Hose

I used the newest pocket hose last week at my customer's house and it felt solid, I will consider this one as well as I need to buy something that's easy to put away for one of my van ( I took the garden hose reel out to give me more space going in and out of the back due to 300 feet vac hose reel that took much of the space in the back Sad
Thanks Rob.

Hate that site layout for sure! wont let me see what I want real easy(like product pictured)....lost interest. I have the black Goodyear and not really bothered by it, I usually fill from all other hoses to my van until one isn't available, then I just man up. lol
