Ssd drive !

I bought a 2 in 1 laptop for my daughter a couple of days ago after researching for almost a week, finally went with hp envy, when we were at the store, we timed 2 laptops on startup, one with Sata drive and one with ssd drive, I was blown away with the difference, at least 10+ seconds difference, although my daughter finally decided to go with the Sata drive because it has 12 gb memory and larger screen and thinner profile, I told her that I will replace the HD to a ssd drive, I'm planning to replace my older dell with an ssd drive as well.
The startup time of ssd is about 10 seconds flat with a 7th gen i7 and 8 gb memory !

ya solid state drives are nice,   my main drive on my pc is an ssd 128g which I use for OS and all the main apps I use,  so all these programs run super fast...     then I have a normal 1TB drive for heavier storage.    

SSD are pretty small so you may not need to replace your current drive but instead just add the SSD and reinstall windows on that but keep the normal drive for all your pictures etc.    

also if u take a lot of pics I def recommend google photos..   I love it.       Unlimited storage photos/videos,  up to 16 mega pixel which is what my note 5 takes,     and when I walk in my house it automatically stores all the pics I took that day.

I went SSD on my desktop for the primary drive and then got spoiled, so I replaced my laptop with a SSD as well. Even this laptop which is about 5 years old really woke up with the faster SSD....made a big difference.

Google Photos, eh? Will have to look into that, but I still have major reservations on cloud storage for anything.

I bought a 10/years old desktop for 60.00! Lol

ya cloud storage is questionable but seeing how google is taking over the world I think my pics are safe with them.  

they wont be going anywhere anytime soon..     I used to be a little worried about google knowing so much about me but as I got older I realized I have nothing to hide and I like all their features and apps etc lol


its amazing how much info google is collecting.    

no joke I was having a conversation with someone about miter saws this last summer,     30min later I was looking at my phone and an ad popped up for miter saws

this was not a coincidence,   some app on my phone was using my microphone

Thats crazy AC. Pretty soon we'll have people talking about getting their carpet cleaned and well pay google to have our ad pop up on their phone

I just opened up the vacuum thread and immediately google ads up there popped up about a vacuum cleaner
