things picking up:)
Finally getting busy.
1800 sf of carpet in empty home on monday.
Did a bid across the street from first job today.
Church called about 2 youth class rooms, added board room.
Avg size job tomorrow.
PM job on Friday added another unit,
Ahhh, I can breath now that their coming in.

Re: things picking up:)
It is amazing how much less stress there is when the jobs show up. Even the small ones make me feel so much better instead of just sitting around the house.
I have 2 small houses to due Friday and then a Bank President's abode on Monday. Not exactly show-stoppers, but keeping busy feels good.
After tonight, I might actually be able to start using the box truck since the winter lows are supposed to stay above freezing by then. Tonight is still around 32 degrees and our highs have been stuck in the mid-50's with rain for the last 2 weeks.
I am really looking forward to being able to stop unloading my trucks every damn night.

Yup, same here, things have been picking up quite a bit, which is surprisingly for April since April is usually "pay uncle Sam's month".

Funny thing about the tax season, around here the State's return time is 8 weeks on average, so there are a lot of angry people waiting. I am hoping that there will be a spike of interest by June.
I just scheduled my CPA for Monday and will come out crying for certain. As bad as this past year was for me since losing my job, I will still be writing a huge check in the end.

I sure did Bob, last month, glad that's over though, they cashed the check super fast, lol.
I just helped Danny with his taxes 2 days ago and he is getting a refund of almost $ 1400, it said the $$ will be deposited in his account in 21 days, it didn't take them 21 days to cash my check

Isn't that the truth, Uncle Sam has no problem cashing checks as fast as they get them. I am making them wait until the deadline.
Re: things picking up:)
Well, I can't do it at the last minute cause my first installment for this year's taxes is due on April 18th, I don't want to have to send them 10 grand all at once
It shucks, I can't wait until taxes are lowered to 15% according to the current president's promise, oh wait, that's only for millionaires, we actually get tax increase
