Kirby vacuums
As you all know, I run Kirby vacuums on both of my trucks and a small auto detailer for upholstery. If you remember back a few years ago, you might remember a rip-off company selling a Kirby vacuum with a grab handle instead of the upright handle and UV light as part of a mattress cleaning service.
Well, that industry fell on its face for good reason, but I just discovered that you can buy one of those grab handles for less than $20 off Amazon or Fleabay. It just replaces the upright handle giving you a vacuum that now would be far more capable of cleaning stairs.
I also found that they have an upgrade brush roll for wood floors that could brush up carpet like a poor man's CRB. Imagine how much impact that brush would have on vacuuming carpet.
At the street price for a used Kirby these days, you can make it a very capable tool with just these two upgrades costing less than $35 total. Have to like that in an industry awash with over-priced gear.

Wow, looks pretty good !
Is that you vacuuming the mattress ? If it's you, your uniform is green ?

Re: Kirby vacuums
Not me, I would never wear a watch the size of my head like that.
I put the handle on my Kirby yesterday to clean up my own steps. Still isn't the lightest at 20 lbs., but a small crb is 35 lbs, so it wasn't too bad.

Re: Kirby vacuums
Honestly would have thought the Kirby would weighed more.
15 pounds is ALOT of difference.
