What would you use to clean vinyl or nogahyde chairs?
Got 2 offices with about 50 each.

Both vinyl and nogahyde are petroleum based and can be cleaned with just a damp sponge and a mild degreaser like dish soap in warm water.

There are some specialized products in the boating industry for those materials if the chairs are stained, but they are hit and miss from my experience and also expensive.

One trick that works well if you want to impress them is to use warm water, damp sponge, and hair shampoo with the scent of your choice.

People forget that hair shampoo is an oil remover. I actually use shampoo to wash my hands of grease and oils after working in the garage instead of traditional hand cleaners and it works just as well.

A bucket, detergent / shampoo, damp sponge in one hand, and dry towel in the other. Wash....dry buff....repeat.

If you want to skip the bucket cleaning....spray bottle of Simple Green and a towel would do well too.

Auto detailers use Simple Green to clean door panels, consoles, etc. in a car which are often a plastic or vinyl.  I know it does very well on vinyl tops for Jeeps.

Any pictures ?
I've cleaned like 30+ of those chairs a couple of months ago, bottom seat is fabric but the back rests were vinyl, they have holes, I guess for air movements so that your back is not sweaty when you sit back for a long time, boy that was a pain in the butt, no wonder they didn't say anything when I say $ 25 for each chair, it took me a few hours to detailed those vinyl.
I just steam clean them with sapphire tool, areas I couldn't reach, spray with steam and wipe with towels, I didn't use any cleaning solution.
Charge high to compensate unpredictability.

Wow, I need to move to California if you get $25 per chair. Around here, you will top out around $7 for chairs like that.

So I did the chairs last week.
Used deep green. Thinned it down.
Used an orbital polisher and small bonnet.
Soaked the bonnet, scrubbed, then wiped with damp towel.
2 people, 100 chairs, 2.5 hrs. $7 ea.
These were seat and backs.
Its amazing if you can make the worst one look good,
 its all "a wonderful job".

There you go, that is why I like those kind of jobs. Little fuss, fast paced, and good returns.

Commercial is still my favorite jobs

Dish washing detergent will be good for both vinyl or nogahyde. Prepare solution with warm water and Use damp sponge to clean.
