century avenger 550? any info
anyone know anything about these?
are they decent or bad design? any history of problems?
crazy deal in my area right now. 2011 ford van with 210 hrs on machine, 80k on van, comes with rv360, masterblend portable (looks like about a 2-3k porty), counter top spinner, t & g attachment for 360, 3 air movers very new, nice hose reels, hose, and a bunch more very new stuff.
hes got what looks like 6-7k just in extras that are all very lightly used.

80 k, barely broken in compared to used vans I've gotten over the years. I put 20 k on my van last year. 210 on TM, not even used. The extras alone make it a good deal.
Now the TM manufacturer? Can remember who make those?

What's the price tag? Been seeing some blistering deals around here as well, maybe they know something that I don't?
If the price is good, it would be worth it as a back-up and for the extra equipment.

Re: century avenger 550? any info
its made by century 400.
its about 18k for everything. I would make him offer cash 16k.
even at 18 it is such a good deal that TM is 12-13k new, the van could easily be worth 10k+ if not more.
then all the extras, rv360 is about 2k, hand spinner over priced at 500.00 usually, plus the masterblend porty... and there is a lot more there.

Re: century avenger 550? any info
but if that brand or model TM is a lemon or poorly designed then its not much of a deal which is why I ask
I know theres a few boxer models and sapphire models out there that are just a nightmare to own

Isn't the POS TM Eric Valentine has a Century 400?......I thought it was, but could be incorrect?
If they're the same, from all the bad I heard from Eric, I'd RUN no matter how good the deal!!!

I wouldn't look at that machine as a whole. Look at the components. Good quality motor, blower, pump? Bad engineering can be reverse and simplified. Just requires work.
Re: century avenger 550? any info
The 550 is basically a PC blazer GT if it's a 2011. I think century 400 owns prochem if you lookup the 550 at century and then the blazer on PC site you can down load both manuals and I think you'll see there the same unit just different name. They are good entry level units no frills no thrills.

did some more reading, seems like its a decent TM. at 210 hrs its hard to go wrong. would make a lot more than 16k with it before it needed a big repair

That's the key on deals like this, will it make you enough money to get a good ROI. It sounds like it sure would.
