Most out of place thing you have seen on a job?

Today I was truly confused.

We all come across used condoms from time to time, just pull the cuff of the tool and suck it up carefully, all in a days work.

However, I was cleaning a sofa in the reception of a Doctors Clinic and pulled up the cushion and ewwwwww! Gotta wonder how that got there?

Thanks for the reminder, I need to pick up another box of latex gloves on the way to the job

When I come accost Shlt like that, I call in the customer, for a proper and embarrassing disposal.

Haha its quite a respectable one in a good part of town. It was weird. I figured if I said something that they might not call me back. Doctor and nurse working late? It couldnt be the patients waiting to be called in haha

Well I was careful not to "rim it", just went straight into the hose. There would be less chance of catching anything when comparing it to blood, still, not nice to think about  

Man, almost have to carry a bio-hazard kit and a sharps container these days  

My money is on the cleaning staff. Them janitors can get frisky.

What's a condoms?
I actually go around things like dog kid or cat poop, and I've only lost one account (that I know of) from cleaning around chunky surface debris.

when I worked for a small CC company we had to call CPS on a customer.

He called for a carpet cleaning we got there and it was dog poop all over the house, he was sitting on the couch drinking, looking like a total piece of work and his daughter was playing on the floor next to poop.

We hardly said anything and just walked out, didnt even want to argue or talk to the guy... got on the phone and called it in.

Those situations break my heart...that kid has no chance.

I had one like that a few years ago in an apartment that someone flagged me down during lunch ans asked me to clean. I thought why not, it was around the corner. Well, when I went in, there were clearly 6 people living in a 2-bedroom apartment. Nobody spoke English and there was clutter and pizza boxes all over the place...worst than any frat house that I have seen.

I too was going to turn around and walk, but there was this little 4 year old girl sitting in the middle of a filthy room playing with a doll. It broke my heart to see it when she smiled and waved. I ended up doing my absolute best to just clean her room so that she had someplace to go that wasn't a pig pen.

It took a lot to keep from knocking heads like Mo before I drove away. You did the right thing making that call...good job.

You did the right thing ac and I would have cleaned that kids room to Rob. There no excuse for kids living in unsanitary conditions like that pig pen

No condom sightings here but I'll think twice about sticking my hand in a sofa the next time

Seen one today. Made me think about this thread, should have took a out, but then again nah.
