I think I got a lemon Pete. Rob and othe.sr say they have never had problems with their Orbot. I change counterweight and velcro drivers every six months. I do use the heck out of it though.

Have you looked into the military grade velcro?

They use some of the strongest velcro I have ever seen on things like tent flaps.

I am very glad that I haven't had those problems with my Orbot, but I don't run it as much as you, either.

Excellent Supply has a good pad driver. Fits on the Orbot perfectly. It's called Dura-grip. Much better than velcro. It's not on there website. Cost $49.00. Gotta call to order it.
Go to there forum and search Dura-grip

No I haven't Rob. I cant seem to make and velcro stick to the pad driver no matter what glue I use. On the particular failure the plastic of the pad driver ripped right through the screws

Spin That Rag Empty pad driver orbot

Post by Peter Breen Mon Jan 11, 2016 11:08 am

Mo i have been there with the flat velcro driver. I purchased a red Malish driver and have not looked back since. More pad options and the malish will dig into the fibers
