I hope that as well...didn't work for me already.
I'm sitting in the ER with what they believe might be a herniated disc at C2. I can't believe the amount of pain it is causing...can't even swallow without wincing. Crazy part is I wasn't even doing anything to put stress on the neck, just woke up with a little stiffness yeasterday and by the time I got home, It grew pretty bad. Woke up today and new I was in trouble! This might not end well going into 2015.

Wishes everyone a great Christmas. Enjoy your family and friends. Remember the reason for the season and be thankful for the blessings we've all received. My gift my Mom surviving pancreatic cancer. You don't think appreciate things as much till you almost loose them.
And Rob we'll say a prayer for you as well

Merry Christmas to all!
I know all about herniated discs Mil. They say the pain is equivalent to child birth. I feel for you.
We'll keep you in our prayers.

Re: Merry Christmas
To everyone, may peace and joy be in your home!
To your family members that are having hard times, may they be comforted and strengthened.
I have a son in law that is trying to find answers to his heath problem. The Mayo clinic is stumped.
Best wishes to ALL.

Re: Merry Christmas
Thanks for the support gang, I'm still trying to get on top of this. The pain is incredible right now and the pain killers / muscle relaxers have only caused me to fall asleep after each dosage.
I'm heading back to the ER this morning as I am having seizures now as well. I actually have more movement in the neck now, but the pain is non-stop and I can't even swallow.
Geez, I would have settled for the stocking of coal...I must have been very high on the "bad" list with Santa.

I've been to the Mayo twice in my life, they weren't much help either time. They are a great organization, but you have keep your expectations realistic, no doctor is like "House" in the real world. I hope they end up helping your son-in-law, when you end up at the Mayo it generally means that your local docs are out of ideas. If the Mayo doesn't find the answers, you really have nowhere else to go.

Merry Christmas to everyone.
Rob, I'm so sorry to hear that, I'm not a doctor but I grew up with one and I'm pretty sure you already knew that seizure is caused by high body temperatures, I think the herniated disc might cause inflammation and it caused fever and it triggered the seizures.
If you can get food grade DMSO in liquid, you should try taking it orally a quarter of teaspoon in a glass of water, it's been doing wonder for me since my sister and my chiropractor told me about it a couple of years ago, it's got tons of use for human body inflammations, toxic neutralizing, etc. That's why the Kock brothers and their drug companies have been lobbying FDA not to release DMSO and make them available for purchase at every drugstores in America. Because they're cheap and works really well. Google DMSO and read up on them and see what people are saying about them on the net, we'll keep you in prayer Rob.

Re: Merry Christmas
Thanks for the tip Dp...interesting read.
After being in a 4-day pain killer fog, I have made some progress. It is starting to look like the C2 disc in my neck. I was actually hoping for anything else, but that, I guess the MRI will tell the story next week.
Hopefully, it doesn't end up being a career killer...I was looking forward to the full-time launch in April. I am not growing old very gracefully.

Re: Merry Christmas
Rob, I hope you start feeling better soon. I have been doing Spinal Decompression for last 4 months ( C3, C5, L5 ). Has slowly been helping. Also, look into a good message therapist to loosen up tight muscles caused from the herniated disc. Good luck. DP, I will look into that DMSO. I hope everyone has much success in 2015. Matt, I hope your son in-law gets some good news/answers.
