Seal a Door Empty Seal a Door

Post by milspec6 Tue Mar 03, 2015 10:54 pm

Well, I just received 2 door seals that Mark Saiger introduced everyone to a few months ago. I hope to find some time this week to try them out and post my thoughts.

My initial impression is very good. The inventor (Ron) offers great service, good communication and super fast shipping. The seals have some real weight to them, which I really like and was surprised to discover.

I've used the Door Drape from Bane Clean....pointless. I've tried the Door Seal from Interlink....pointless. I spent years using moving blankets stuffed in the gap to get the job done. I am looking forward to see if the solution has been found.

Will update as it unfolds.

You are going to like them Mil. I was cleaning a place the other day when it was 28 degrees and the customer was amazed at how well it worked. She commented that it felt like her door was closed and she even stood by it for awhile to check it out.

Did you get the brackets as well? They really are well made and make it easy to store on the ceiling.

Hoping they work as well for you as they have for us.

I like your one idea you shared with me too....

Will be cool if you get it worked out.

I didn't get the brackets, I'm creating custom mounts for the box truck instead.

So far, I am very impressed.

It gets to those temps here also. I figured I could use it as much in the summer as in the winter. In the winter to keep the cold out and the heat in, and the summer to keep the heat and bugs out and the cold in. I had several customers last year that turned the AC off while I was working because there was a small gap in the door where the hoses went in. That won't happen with the Seal A Door. I can't wait to try it when it's warm out.

Just got my Seal-A-Door last week. Can't imagine working without it now. Every carpet cleaner using hoses needs a Seal-A-Door for winter and summer....

Good point about the bugs especially in high humidity areas like Hawaii were you have flying cockroaches Very Happy Hey it might even prevent the family pet from sneaking out

Biggest problem is finding room for it in your van. Installing takes about 10 seconds.

Yea I know about the brackets. I found a good way to keep it in the van. The front half rests on top of my dirty water tank and the back half is held by a bungee cord that's attached to my shelves. It's up high, out of the way, and secure. It's better than it sounds.....
