Where to begin..........?

I admire his passion, if only he's a little more honest with his customer about the equipments, in the other youtube clip, he claimed to another customer that his truck mount is a 40 k truckmount, it's a small unit, c'mon man !
He does a decent work but the empty promises bug the sh!t out of me, 3 hours drying time ? I don't think so !
Also he promises the carpets are going to be brand new and then he said well almost new, and then he said he's going to do the best he can, so which one is it bud ? He gives professional carpet cleaners bad name !!

I like the guy's passion for what he does, but he tries too hard on the sale side of the job and the wand stroke could use a little work. The results looked okay and the customer was pleased, but the 3 hour dry time statement is disappointing.

I didn't keep track of the pricing, but it just felt too aggressive with the customer...aka Eddie Haskel style, which is very common in this industry.

If he was to back off a little on his sales efforts, add some dry strokes, toss an airpath in there, buy longer hoses (if the tm can handle it), and a few other small things, he would be far better off.

I wouldn't say he gave pro cleaners a bad name as he is just like the majority of cleaners out there today. If he was to target the volume cleaning market, he would fit in with the others and probably do well.

If he went after the higher-end cleanings, he would not fare very well....at least not around here.

I wish him luck actually, he does seem like a nice enough guy in the video.

He thinks he's a "star" lol....his cleaning is very lazy! dry times may be 3 hrs as quick as he went over it, it couldn't take long to dry. Groupon loyalty? wouldn't touch the program! Two separate cleaners based off of a coupon! I seen this guys videos before....he really thinks he famous! lol he does have some potential but to me....it will take some work. She was easy to please because she thinks she saved some cash!....Mr King needs to put his efforts into the cleaning like he does the video.

Looks like his style and cleaning ability is a perfect match for the coupon shopper.

His comment about going to the gym reminds me of what I used to stay about working out. He works out every day cleaning carpet but he looks obese.

I agree, matched his service to the target market, which he probably competes well with. Isolated markets like that will eat him up over time, but we all pick our poison.

What was his line? "It is better to eat too much than to have too little to eat"

lol I think he honestly believes hes doing the best job but probably just doesnt know how good carpet cleaning can be.

He is probably a victim of only knowing what he was shown by the guy he started out working for. Many cleaners operate that way and never expand their skill-set for 20 years and see their business slow down with each passing year until they shut it down.

You have to keep up with this industry. The methods, tools, chemistry, etc. all can change dramatically and if you don't stay current, you will get passed by.

Another great reason to join boards like this one....it keeps you current.

Late on Christmas eve, he gets an emergency callto clean a sectional. Charges $500, and the customer throws in a $500 tip!!!!

Good grief, I take it all back....the man is a sick joke, and a thief for charging $500 for a sectional. I don't care what day it was, that is robbery.

Actually Rob, I watched the video, the customer offered him $ 500 on the phone to get him to say yes, what doesn't make sense is when he got there, the sectional is a cheap polyester couch, made me think that was a fake customer.
And then at the end he didn't even charge the customer's card, he said his system is down and he will charge the card later.
He seems like a nice guy but he's not honest.

I agree Dp, I think it is just another fake reality show....the world is full of them.

Now if he would drink the water from his waste tank for a bucket challenge, then he can impress me.

I still haven't gotten over that cleaner's decision-making process....probably still sick, but at least honest.
