Stupid people and Technology

I am one of those guys who acts out old episodes of the "Hulk" on a daily basis when dealing with technology.  I have mad skills at survival, can sail, scuba, skydive, and navigate with a sextant.  What I can't do is intuitively understand technology.

As you know, I retired my Droid smart phone for a Galaxy Note 5 a couple of weeks ago.  I quickly discovered that they are completely different animals and the first few days tuned into a lot of roaring and green skin.  If it wasn't so dang expensive, it would have met its death with a Hulk smash.

Anyway, I take comfort in not being alone in this world and thought that I would share a video by a similar gent.  If it wasn't for that video, I would have been doomed.  As it is, I still forget and find myself missing calls only having to call them back and admit to being stupid.  Texting was another issue, but I at least had time to figure that one first.

Anyway, this is the simple video for those of us who just left the caves.

Oh hell, for those too young to remember the real Hulk.....here you go.  It always made me laugh.

FIXED IT!!!

All I know is that I spent days pushing that stupid phone button while it was ringing and getting nowhere.

Who the hell designs it so that you have to drag a button to activate it?  That is the whole damn reason for buttons isn't it....push it for action?

I'm getting mad just remembering the frustration those first days....

lol ya you have to slide to answer, you dont have to drag it into the middle of the phone.

Im surprised that guy couldnt figure that out because to even unlock the phone from the lock screen its the same motion, just slide it about 1/2in

In his defense, I didn't get it either for awhile. I mashed that button with no success the first few calls. Then I tried sliding across the screen to unlock the phone, but didn't do it with the button pressed, so nothing. Then I went back and hit the button again which still didn't work.

With the phone ringing, it felt like I as trying to diffuse a bomb instead of answering a phone.

Can I join your club. These new phone do so many different thing...ugh.
Just found out the other day where things are saved "on my clipboard" on my tablet. Been having things down loaded and not knowing where the h*** it went.

Lol I've had my note 4 almost a year and its still smarter than me. But I have learned how to do a lot with it. I went from a I phone 4 to the note talk about a learning curve.

When I think about the concept of giving an idiot something that can do a lot of things without a manual with the expectation of them just figuring it out, I think of the tv show "Greatest American Hero".

You want to hear about high tech driving you nuts. Try having a 79 yr old father that is an amateur radio operator that can repair and practically beyond a radio. But a computer or cell phone can drive him crazy. Lol. Then he calls me to fix it, I fully expect to go in and see a 45 cal. hole threw the monitor.
