Hell, damn, hail

Hell, damn, hail
It has been in the upper 70's for a week with sunshine, but then the rain moved in and things have changed drastically since.
It rained 2 inches overnight and had been a steady drizzle all day. At 4 pm, that changed, I was in the shower getting ready for work when the power went out and the winds started to howl like a freight train. I left the shower and in a towel went to the living room window that was busted out and marble sized hail was pouring in.
The storm lasted about 30 minutes, but it made quite an impact. I now have water in my basement, water in my living room, a busted bay window, a downed tree that took out my drop line to the house, and a yard full of hail stones.

At least my trucks survived. In fact, the cargo van is looking extra "green" now....leave green actually.
Re: Hell, damn, hail
That's terrible Rob Its rough out there. At least you have the equipment to fry everything out.
We had rain cold and hail here to and the calls have died down, made for a very disappointing April

The forecast is for low 50's and another 5 inches of rain over the next 7 days. I expect the phone to be dead again as well.
If it drops below freezing at night....I will become the Beverly Hillbillies and drive to California with everything that I own strapped to my box truck.
Probably park out front of Dp's place and empty the crapper like in the scene from "Christmas Vacation".

Man, I don't know who you put up with it.
And now to add insult to injury, it looks like there's and uncover police car behind your van.

That was actually my assigned car back when I worked for the State transporting inmates. I bought it at auction when they retired it for $6500.
Since then, I added 140,000 miles to it and the only thing it ever needed was a set of tires, a new A/C compressor, and one injector. You can't kill those cars (I've tried) and it scares the thieves away from my house at night.
