Ford transit E350
I rented this 12 passengers van last Sunday to drop a bunch of guests to Vegas, surprisingly on the freeway seems unstable, when there is a slight bump it went all over the place, this version us the tallest one, I was seriously considering this van for our next one when we upgrade but now I'm having a second thought, the van only has 9000 miles, I know that's probably quite a bit for a rental because people tend to abuse it, I checked the tires, they still have a lot of threads left, I'm curious if anyone has one ?
Ryan, I think yours is the Dodge ? How long have you had yours and what kind of feedback can you give us on the Dodge ?

These guys really hate the Dodge Promaster (Fiat built, so it makes sense)

When I was testing the Mercedes Sprinter 2 years ago, it rode very stable, but it also had dual rear wheels. I don't think it is the height as much as it is the width that makes them a little squirrelly.
That Ford probably has a very stiff suspension being the E350 model and would probably ride much better heavily loaded. Your passengers just were not heavy enough to firmly plant the tires would be my guess.

You're probably right about the weight, but I also have 2010 ford e250 that has the same issues on handling, with an Everest in it, my favorite is the 2007 and 2009, they're as perfect as they can be for a loaded cargo vans.

Re: Ford transit E350
I'll relay what a friend in the HVAC service industry has to say.
He prefers the Nissan full size vans.
When it comes to the mini's, he likes the Dodge.
I looked over the Ford's recently. Full size or mini, they are about the same price. The mini's have a BAD rep already. I want a mini, eventually for my business.
Something to hold my tools, ladders on top, and maybe a 25-50 gallon buffer tank. So it doesn't need to be super heavy duty for me. I want to see how the Chevy mini's do.
