Re: Saigers Sauce
Nope, no offense to Mark, but every year we are introduced to the next great prespray and the endorsements start flying. I think every company makes a good prespray these days and that it is more important to pick the one that you can get locally and for a good price.
I believe Harvard is making his stuff and is also the same company that formulates a lot of independent products. My local sells their own brand as well and Harvard makes it....good prespray, no better and no worse than what the big names are producing.
I suppose I would try it if the situation presented it, but I am done chasing every new release thinking that it is going to be revolutionary. They all end up doing basically the same thing. I buy what is local and meets my budget.
I'm sure it is a good product, but so are so many. I am really starting to like Judson S&G the more that I use it, but I am not fond of having to ship everything and the added cost and time that it wastes. So, I stay local.

Re: Saigers Sauce
Im using it. The original, not the new stuff. Slight strong chem smell. I've gotten some really good results. Like today; living room with harden black marks(big ones). I did have to do a little scrubbing but it came out...95% better.
-I've had some 1 pass cleaning successes.
Used slop/gobble... Got good results. No strong smell.

I haven't tried it and I agreed with Bob on this, I've gone back and forth trying some new stuff but I kept going back to prochem power burst and I boost it with ultrapac when needed.

Re: Saigers Sauce
I'm pretty sure Saiger sauce is actually formulated with Harvard chems. I could be wrong though.
When I use carpet chems, I use Cobb's powermax. It's an enzyme plus citrus. Not like I clean carpet everyday, so my opinion doesn't mean a lot.

Re: Saigers Sauce
"Flavor of the Month" is exactly correct.
They all work and we all have our own system. I guess if you were not happy with your current offerings, then it would be worth exploring, but other wise, I would just keep using what you have.

Re: Saigers Sauce
Ive been using it for the last 2 months with great results. I prefer the Free and clear(non scented version) saigers sauce as I thought the lemon scented sauce smelled to strong. I also been using it as my go to for tile and grout cleaning ever since I ran out of my regular chem(tilemaster). It has surprised the hell out of me . Also makes the job easier since I don't have to switch chems when I'm cleaning carpet and tile on the same job. 2oz per gallon is what Ive been using paired up with my IPS sprayer. I boost it with cobbs powdered peroxide when needed to make some carpets "pop".
I use cobbs stainresist powder or kleenrite's klenz prespray for lightly soiled carpets.

Re: Saigers Sauce
Lol Matt, I should ask Harvard to make that for me and start selling them huh ?
Jose, where you at ? If you're close to me, I'll give you a 2.5 gallon jug tile stripper ( I use them for tile cleaning ), I still got like 3 - 4 of those jugs, let me know.

Re: Saigers Sauce
havent tried it but I head the formula is pretty close to slop/gobble.
Grease eraser, slop/gobble, flex citrus, grout master, ph10k etc etc etc are all high pH boosters that will strip any carpet completely clean.
some mix with powdered peroxide better and some dont, but there isnt any break through chem that is going to blow your mind.. they are all very high pH stripping chems
Im more interested in good rinses, and good moderate pre sprays that work awsome on wool/upholstery and slightly dirty carpets. Like procyon.
any of the above mentioned high pH pre sprays will get maximum results but sometimes a scrub may be needed.
people are always coming out with new chems and they promote them big time on forums to get people excited about some new magic chem that will change your business..
its all the same and has been for a long time

Re: Saigers Sauce
as far as grout cleaning goes I will say that grout master is the current best I have tried and so far never needs scrubbing, also doesnt do any damage to wood or stainless.
I dont have any connection to the maker or care who makes it, the stuff works like 2790 but is way cheaper and no risk of damage.
I mentioned it in the last post because a lot of people have been raving about using it as a carpet booster for really nasty carpets.. which is does work for but not really any better than grease eraser
