targeting churches
So I've been mailing postcard to churches and picked up afew.
Just had an idea! My next card will offer a free gift. A spotter bottle with perocellent in it. Perocellent is a peroxide based encap cleaner from vac away. I tested it afew years back.
So, they can spot clean coffee spills. Some churches have a lot of those.
I know.... Giving a customer something and trusting they don't botch it, hurt someone(get in eye, drink...).... Liability.
Of 30-35 cleaner in the area; how many can take care of a coffee stain? I'd say maybe 5-7. So this would put me at the head of the class.
I did some coffee spills afew weeks back for a new customer(church), he said they turned out awesome...gone!
So I'm gonna hit that market(again, different angle)and see what falls out of the tree:)

Re: targeting churches
I bought a few gallons of that stuff a couple of years ago. Worked well, they don't like to sit in storage being a sealed bottle of peroxide....I had a gallon blow up on the shelf after a year.
I am no expert at marketing (huge understatement) but I will not give free samples of anything since I can't control it after I leave. It is just not me, but obviously it works well for others, so good luck.

Re: targeting churches
Another thing that you can add to that post card is to offer free spot and spill service for two weeks after the cleaning. You know there is going to be a spill the following Sunday. You might get a few more bites with that offer.
Re: targeting churches
So I got my gl of perocellent today.
Dang thing was close to exploding.
Another day in transit, and it would have.
That was a close one.

Re: targeting churches
Nobody could ever claim that they skimp on the peroxide, but it can get messy. If you know that you will use it immediately, it is a great product, but hoping to store it long is another matter.
Re: targeting churches
Wait, it almost blows up in transit and you want to give those to customers ?? Hmmm I suggest to rethink that or raise your liability insurance coverage ?

Re: targeting churches
On the other hand, Mo's suggestions are great because I just went to my church that I cleaned 2 weeks ago and there was already a huge spot in the middle of the sanctuary, it would've taken me 10 minutes to clean that spot, so that 2 weeks guarantee is what will sell your service big time imho.

Re: targeting churches
Yeah I wouldn't use the peroexcellant as a give away. Not Just for the reason so mentioned nut chances are the HP will lose its effectiveness sitting on the shelf.
Re: targeting churches
Or you can slap a warning label on the bottle "please wear helmet and hazmat suit prior to use, in case of explosion you waived your right to obtain an attorney"

Re: targeting churches
They make several other products that would work just as well. That was one of the problems I had with them, there wasn't much difference between products. That and they discontinued my favorite (Wham) which had the best scent and really worked great on odors.
