Anybody using Home Advisor for leads?
Got a call today from Home Advisor regarding leads for carpet, upholstery and tile/grout and was wondering if anybody else has looked into it or uses them?
Re: Anybody using Home Advisor for leads?
An Aussie perspective.
This really depends where your business is at if it will work for you.
If you are in the building the business phase it would be helpful to get some extra income. But they will keep a percentage so you are not going to make alot out of it.

Kinda sounded like Angie's List but didn't charge the customers a fee to research and find someone.
Re: Anybody using Home Advisor for leads?
I passed. There are a lot of bad stories out there about them. I have not heard anyone, on any board, say anything positive about Home Advisor.
All the review I had found of them, were mostly negative, from both business and customer.
They charge you PER LEAD. Even if the lead is not even a real lead. They also will give the same lead to several companies.

Re: Anybody using Home Advisor for leads?
Yes it works.. you can go the website and search for your desired service in your area. Also see how many searches people actually do for cc etc.
Problem?
It kills your local seo. They do this by listing your biz name with their phone number and they have many many pages and sites they use for their seo with your fake phone number.

Re: Anybody using Home Advisor for leads?
DO NOT DO IT.
For two reasons. First it is almost $30 per lead and you are not the only cleaner they will give that lead to.
Second and most importantly, They advertise your company name with their phone number. This confuses google and causes your google ranking to drop. If you are do any seo at all, Home advisor would be a bad move.

Charlie,
Your link in your signature goes nowhere with a 404 message. Just thought I would let you know and help out another WA state cleaner :-)
