Dropping to -18 tonight with windchills around -50.....same goes for Monday. After that, things will start to warm up.

I can't do anything except sit here knowing that damage is likely occurring. The only questions will be how many and at what cost.

Hate winter....no damn good ever comes from it.

So, I had to run to the store tonight and forgot to unplug the ceramic heater in the van until I got halfway down the driveway...oops.

Luckily, I had another still in the box out in the garage. The garage was more like an ice box with all kinds of things frozen including that other heater.

I ran my errand and when I put the new heater in the van, the fan on it was frozen and wouldn't turn. It took an hour with it in the house before it warmed up enough to free up the fan.

That is how bad the cold is right now and only getting worse. At least the Butler is fine...winterized and the interior stays above 45 degrees even when it is -18 outside.

The TNT is not so lucky and I fully expect to be making lots of repairs when this is all over...especially to that LG Heater coil. I toyed with the idea of throwing a ceramic heater in the cargo box since the propane would never vent in this cold, but the roll-up doors are frozen shut so that ended that idea.

I did that last year Mo, but I it is a pita to hook back up and it is bolted down so I have to remove the coil to get to the bolts....seemed like a really big hassle, but I wasn't expecting the kind of cold front that hit us.

I will know this weekend what the damage is to the TM and LG when we get to freezing. On the plus side, the extended forecast doesn't show any sub-zero temperatures all the way through Feb. with some pretty decent temperatures in the mid-20's all the way to March.

Wonder if something like this would help?

I don't know if it would help the TM, but I sure would have put it on my bed last week. I was able to throw a pitcher of tap water into the air Saturday night and the water never hit the ground...just froze in the air as mist and floated away.

It is 21 degrees right now and it feels like t-shirt weather in comparison...the furnace even stops running for awhile now. My RV antifreeze jugs started to thaw out, so the moment of truth is coming in a few days.
