I am still wrestling with the issue of which vehicle would work best for me. For those running in small cities or rural areas, what image does a box truck give you? If you hired a company to do work at your house, what is your reaction to seeing a box truck pull up instead of a van? Do you suddenly expect a "big business" experience where they are about to pressure you in sales and attack your house like concert roadies?
First impressions matter and I am just wondering what is the first impression given by a box truck over a van or even a trailer?

My first impression as a customer would be, "Were in the heck are they going to park that monster."
As a cleaner. " I'm glad I don't have a box truck I wouldn't be able to park anywhere near this customers house.
As a motorist, " Wow that's a cool looking Billboard that Carper Cleaning Company has."

I think customers expect a van. They have been conditioned that way. I don't necessarily think a box truck is a bad thing. Impressions do matter and parking space I think would be the main concern.
Re: box truck image
Funny you would post that right now, I just got through looking at an NPR here local. It did look like it would be a little big for me as well. A lot of the apartments that I service have narrow and short parking areas...I barely get a van to fit.
I did see a nice cube for sale local with a tommy lift, but it had a 10 foot tall box which seems silly...probably drives like sailboat.

what you wont like about the Isuzu is the repair bills those things are expensive to work on
just start checking out craigs list like 100 to 300 miles from your local
I found my cube van by accident I was just driving by and saw it was not even planning on buying another truck.
I've heard the same thing (expensive repairs) about the Sprinters...parts are even hard to get through the dealers. I really like the cube idea with a powered lift.

oh and BTW the customer dont care about your van, TM, wand, water temp, you get the point. They just want you to meet the present need at that moment. Clean is good though.
Sometimes we over think things when addressing items our clients care about, most of them are on the side of things that matter to us not the client. That why we have these FREAK boards.
