Battery Sprayer
Someone here mentioned a few months ago about a battery sprayer. I baught the 5 gallon sprayer from Tractor Supply ( TSC ). It works great. Baught a second one for just in case. This beats using a pump up 2-3 gallon one all day long. Have used other battery ones in the past and non have held up. I just wheel this around with me as I spray.
Re: Battery Sprayer
That sprayer has been talked about around the boards, so far good reviews. I'm still using a corded sprayer or else hydro-force since I haven't had good luck with any kind of battery.
Keep us up to date on on that thing holds up!

Re: Battery Sprayer
I am using the same sprayer myself.
Nice sprayers, thus far.

Re: Battery Sprayer
Gerry, I know you're using Joedorcide too, how's your experience with the sprayer using Joedorcide in it ? Or just pre spray in general clogging the sprayer out ?
Anybody else using any other electric or battery sprayer willing to chime in with their reviews ? Thanks.

Gerry, one more question, have you had to rebuild the valve yet on that sprayer ?

I've had no clogging issues myself. Powder or liquid.

Great, thank you James for that review, what's weird is I just went to their site and it doesn't look like they can ship it out and the closest store to me that has it in stock is 120 miles away in Yucca Valley, called them and they said they don't ship

Re: Battery Sprayer
Here you go....this one has been going strong for over a year, and battery last forever between charges! My first one last about 2.5 yrs.

Re: Battery Sprayer
Damn, so expensive, a hydroforce doesn't even cost that much, I'm trying this out hoping to shorten the cleaning time with 2 guys, one will spray and one will extract, I'm really hoping I can find something cheaper for now.
But someone said in the Amazon review that he got it for $ 100, was wondering if that was on sale when he got it or there's one cheaper somewhere else ?

Re: Battery Sprayer
I've had several of those from tractor supply. Complete waste of money. Last exactly 13 months.
I bought a rocket sprayer. Added a 50 ft hose, it's been bullet proof for. 4 years now. I've never run the battery down so I don't know how long it takes but I usually run 50 gallons through it before charging it.

Why not add a solution line splitter DP? Or are you running a rinse ?

He thinks $140 is too much, so I doubt he's going to spend $370!

Re: Battery Sprayer
James, I actually have 2 lines from my machine, just trying to eliminate the hoses and I'm just trying to see if battery sprayer can save me 10 - 15 minutes from each job by not having to unroll and roll the extra pressure hoses that was used for the hydroforce, that's why I can't justify spending over $ 100 for any sprayer since I can get hydroforce for around $ 120.
I think I'll just buy the regular 2 gallons pump up sprayer and see the result, if it does speed things up then I can justify spending more $$ on a good quality battery sprayer.
Real clean, what's your name anyway ? Judd bowers ? No maintenance at all for the rocket sprayer ?

Re: Battery Sprayer
I've not done a single thing in maintenance on the Rocket Sprayer. The guy builds them with the best pumps and the best battery. His goal is reliability and performance, not profit. Worth every penny. Much better sprayer than the penguin or B.O.S.S.
I use it for vlm though. I'd stick with an inline for hwe.
Yes my name is Judd.

Re: Battery Sprayer
I just purchased a Mytee big boss 5gal battery sprayer, so far so good but then i've only used it 5 times so far. At the end of the day i fill it with hot water only and flush it out thru the spray gun. Hopeing this will help keep my jets and pump last longer and to not get clogged

That's the one I was talking about, used to get it at harbor freight for around $75, with two year warranty, change out the spray tip with a real one, like an 05 fan tip, strap it to a luggage cart, and you got a winner.

Re: Battery Sprayer
Judd, thanks for mentioning the Rocket Sprayer above. I just ordered one. Cannot wait to use. The TSC was ok but like said above, lasts about one year.
Re: Battery Sprayer
You'll like it a lot. I just ordered another one myself. With a few tweaks it could be the best carpet sprayer around IMO.
I'll have my new one as a backpack and keep my other one on wheels.

Re: Battery Sprayer
I looked at all the ones you guys mentioned and almost pulled the trigger, mainly due to the much lower cost. But i ended up with they Mytee and spent $400 anyway. Sure hope i can get at least 3 or 4 years trouble free use out of it then i won't feel so bad-but it does work good and am very happy with it so far and i really like the built in pull out hose thingie to fill it.
