Rotovac ShearDry
I just saw this new tool. It looks a lot like the SS. I wonder how it performs.

Re: Rotovac ShearDry
From what I hear it is identical to the ss tool with a cheaper old style non locking trigger. So if that does not matter to you save some bucks. Its quite a bit cheaper
Re: Rotovac ShearDry
Nice find Eric. That one is less expensive that SS. You can pick it up for $395.00 and steambrite with free shipping. It also has a replaceable head for only $19.00. I did like the locking trigger but maybe you can modify it

Re: Rotovac ShearDry
I think for the less than $100 savings, I rather go with the SS better quality and locking trigger.

Re: Rotovac ShearDry
watched a video on it and it seems to shoot water out the front?
I think I have to agree with Davey. Stick with the proven SS

Re: Rotovac ShearDry
I like the price, I thought it was listed at rotovac for 300.00? but that might be the local price.
I love our SS but that thing is so over priced, have you taken it apart? the feed tube for the jet bar is like a coffee straw no joke, be careful when you handle it.. could bend or crease real easy. Im surprised it can handle the heat we run through it.
I guess some cost goes into the vac hose and lines it comes with.

I really want someone to make an affordable clear filter box. We love our RC filter but I really really like the idea of placing a clear box on the porch for the customer to wow at.
but 600.00 or whatever they want for that thing is too much.

Re: Rotovac ShearDry
I hear you can get it from Rotovac for $300 but everywhere else it's $395 or $399. I hadn't noticed it didn't have a locking trigger. Nice catch guys.

Re: Rotovac ShearDry
You could always put a zip tie or hose strap on it. Thats what I used to use on my old steel internal spray upholstery tool.

When I used the SS tool, I noticed that too, I consider that a major flaw...........the only way to prevent it was to dial in the nettle valve on the tools hose so it was barley on, but then the flow is really low...I think that is one of the things that makes my DriMaster superior.........no matter how high or low you set the flow, the DM maintains the shearing effect, and never shoots water out or makes an over-spray mess like the SS tool can. And with the flow knob right on the head of the tool of the DM, instead of under a cover down at the QD, that's another thing I thought was Bogus about the SS.

Why not just buy the clear RC99??......It's not box shaped?

Ouch. Cuz it doesn't like solvents. I only sell it for dryer vent cleaning. Great visual.
And all the science we have says boxes create turbulence. thus we're sticking with the tube type filters.
I could make it clear but it'd cost more than your Air Jordans and that would never do in the land of broke dickedness.
$99 and I sell them all day.
Besides, it wouldn't matter if it were crystal clear. The basket keeps you from seeing what's going on inside.
Don't matter how pretty it is anyway. They see it as sewage.
Nevertheless, keep it shiny and call em over after the job, Pop the front lid off and let 'em look inside.
That's enough for most people to say please get that off my property.
Hey Mo, let's start a RV Shear uph tool Floater. I think Pete's gonna be the first to try it.
I wasn't saying it's not boxed shaped for any other reason than AC said he was looking for a box shaped..........so I just meant buy RC clear even tho not a box. But like you said once there's debris in it you're not seeing $hit anyways. lol
