Vac booster placement Empty Vac booster placement

Post by kevinj6121 Sat Jul 12, 2014 6:45 am

I have a Mytee M5 duel high performance 3stage vac motor's, also have an in line vac booster (kleenrite) if i was to use 75 or 100 foot of vac hose where should i place the vac booster. after the 1st 25foot of hose then the other 50foot then wand or after 1st 50foot of hose then the 25foot and wand. for a 100foot hose run should i put vac booster after the 1st 50foot then the 2nd 50foot then wand. Icurrently only have 1.5inch vac hose-will be getting 2.0 inch soon but only a 25ft lenght and how would this fit into the equation.

First of all you can easily clean up to 100 feet with an M5 with a power booster. And maybe 125 feet. I have tested numerous combinations of vacuum motors with each other. The 3 stages that come with the M5 are powerful and have good cfms for a 3 stage. By adding an inline power booster depending on what vacuum motor is in it I would likely place at the last 50 feet. Like 50 feet 2inch vac hose to booster then 50 more to the wand. If it is working really well which I think it will you may be able to add a 10-15 1.5 inch whip hose on the end. Just experiement with it and I think you will be pleasantly supprised.

Forget the vac bosster for anything under a 125 ft run.

It's Just one more thing to have to plug in and set up and it shouldn't be needed , Now when your start getting over 125 ft or more then it's worth the trouble to run it.

Don't make it harder on your self then it has to be, this job is hard enough as it is.

And for sure you need 2 inch hose for those 100 ft runs but no vac bosster.

Cross-American's power booster with the 6.6 2 stage in it has worked very well for me ! I for the most part will use only 2 inch vacuum hose on long hose runs without the booster. But with the CA Power Booster 6.6 I can use a short like 10-15 foot whip hose 1 1/2 inch diameter. For a few years now CA changed the power booster to be much more durable and no hose on the outside etc..
Testing my Jaguar 6.6 + PB 6.6 with no restriction I measured  the cfms with  a General Anemometer setup correctly and got over 400 cfms. Of course we all know how fast we lose cfms with electric vac motors when in actual operation of cleaning carpet. So it is always good to use motors that have a lot of cfms with sufficient lift .   Of course Odin makes the best ones as he can put whatever vacuum motor or motors you may wish. Also metal is better than Poly.

I bought some 2inch hose once to use with my mytee M5, used it once and never touched it again because it was to stiff, heavy and not very flexible, to hard to work with. Been trying to find some 2inch that is lightweight and a little more flexible but buying on line, as i have to cause no local places to go to where i can actually see and feel for myself is tough, looking at pictures on a website tells me nothing most will say lightweight but unless i buy it 1st then have it shipped i don't really know for sure. got any suggestions or a trusted place that maybe you have used that you can recommend.
Thanks

If so, you'll have to stand in line and "beat a lot of us, because there's a bunch of us that like it.

Might want to bring Chuck Norris with you..  laughing

No reason to doubt it...best hose out there on the market today. Even better than my old Butler hose which is saying something.

Pick a cool color too......and cuffs.....!
