Low profile wand thermometer
I just installed a new thermometer on my wand , try to keep it out of the way low profile as possible with the SS tubing what do you think

Re: Low profile wand thermometer
Install is clean...are you left handed? If not, it seems out of position a little.
I have Joe's thermometers on my wands and the placement is hung beneath the tube so that you can see it at a glance when right handed.
Don't get me wrong, it looks good and should be helpful. I am planning on adding a psi gauge to mine as we speak....love feedback information.

Looks stealth!.....
Does that dial/gauge have a temp sensor in it? I'm just wondering how it works?

Re: Low profile wand thermometer
Wanders Thermometer keeps you dialed in at the wand.
The thermometer rests under the bend of the wand,
out of the way but still easy to read.
Lets you monitor temperature as you clean.
Helps you detect equipment problems as soon as they arise.

Re: Low profile wand thermometer
How much weight does it add the wand? Neglible ? I would probably break it pulling the wand out of the van

Re: Low profile wand thermometer
at 200 ft of hose 150ft 3/8 50ft 1/4 if I set the truckmount to 240 the wand shows about 210

Re: Low profile wand thermometer
is that the temp dial on the truckmount or do you have a temp gauge on the TM
when we are over 220 on the TM temp guage (almost same guage as that) the 2in tube on the wand will almost burn you from recovery water.

Re: Low profile wand thermometer
I would love to have a yellow hi-vis version of those gauges...might have to upgrade with something different as well.
Curious, but am I the only one who wants both a temp and psi gauge on his wand?

Re: Low profile wand thermometer
I wonder why would you want a PSI gauge on wand?.....
I just made this from an old panel mount psi gauge to connect when I want to see what it is.......and then it can also be used on any tool I connect it to.

Re: Low profile wand thermometer
That's kind of the same idea Davey.
The reason for the psi gauge is for a couple of things:
1. I will notice if there are any pump fluctuations which could clue me in on issues down the road with seals.
2. I will have a heads up if there is a kinked pressure line or bad S/O and GC with data instead of just by feel. I sometimes run about 6 strands out on the job and there has been a few times where a restriction has been a problem.
3. It could also give you a warning if a line is starting to freeze up.
4. Nobody else has one and it would be cool.

Re: Low profile wand thermometer
milspec6 a pressure gauge can be added just by using a cross on the same comfiguration as shown on the pictures temperature gauge on one side pressure on the other side
