Are you guys crazy busy?
Its been pretty steady here been working Saturdays. I purposely scheduled myself a day off today. I didn't get into the biz to kill myself. plus I have to some plumbing around the house cuz no way in hell is my wife going to the laundrymat How is it in your neck of the woods?

Re: Are you guys crazy busy?
So So we have actually been on the slower side in cleaning. But it just started to make the change to winter here and that always kinda throws things off a bit.
Things will pick up again, my other ventures are doing much better this year so they are up.
This is the first winter my wife has not worked, she is helping me with the cc biz, we are a little nervous but we will just buckle down. As long as we make it through this winter this will make us feel really good. We were kinda expecting it to be this way. We are on that tipping point kinda like when a guy gets to busy for one van but is nervous to add the second.
It is a good thing but also kinda scary.

Re: Are you guys crazy busy?
slammed right now, not much time for forum lately. winter is actually one of our busiest times because so many people want cleanings done before the holidays.
january-feb is usually the slower time of the year.
I really appreciate it because when I was in landscape construction there was a major off season.

Re: Are you guys crazy busy?
This is always the craziest time of year for us. Starts slowing down 3rd week of December. January gets crazy again and half days in feb and march. Enjoy the busy times guys.
Re: Are you guys crazy busy?
Not as much as last year, in my experience if we're not as busy in November, things will go crazy in December, this industry is unpredictable sometimes.

Steady. 2-3 jobs some days. But then I've been freeing up some time by leaving a day open during the week.
Yesterday about 3pm, snow started to fall towards the end of my last job.

Re: Are you guys crazy busy?
Dead....absolutely dead.
I had my largest property manager sell off his 8 apartment complexes, the temps didn't break freezing until today, and the Cornhuskers have been losing, so the State is depressed. All of which equals the slowest I have ever been in 6 years.
At least I had time to do some needed work on the house.

Re: Are you guys crazy busy?
Seems like everyone is really busy, the forum is very quiet for a sunday, I got 7 jobs tomorrow, 6 jobs tuesday and 2 jobs for wednesday so far, a little more than normal but then last week was a little less than normal, if I schedule a few more before Thanksgiving, it'll be just about normal for November.
Btw where the heck is Mo ? should I start a thread looking for him too ??

Re: Are you guys crazy busy?
I guess I am the only one experiencing the lull in the action....probably a good thing as it allowed me to de-clutter the house finally and get ready for 72 hour work week.
I only have 2 jobs lined up this week (so far) and then a marathon cleaning for Dec 1.
Maybe Mo cleaned that theater and his arm fell off? Might have to check the hospitals....or the morgue.

Re: Are you guys crazy busy?
Anyone besides myself and DP that normally get a lot of calls from Yelp?...
If so, I have a question for you. Have you noticed a lack of calls from Yelp lately? DP and I have, and suspect a change in their marketing, with the new double ads they're running.
Just trying to figure this out, and wonder if anyone else is effected by it?

I have a lot of experience with those things (clay pipe in this town) and a 50 footer will rarely work...often need to go all the way to the city tie-in at about 150 feet.
Tell me you don't still have clay pipe in your area, or it can get costly. When I first bought this house, I had the line snaked. The plumber told me that it was either a collapsed line or else one of a thousand tee's that were common in this town. When I asked him for his advice, he looked back and me and said "I would move".
Probably should have listened to him 10 years ago.
