Help! Return orbiter for bissell?
Of course the minute I order the Oreck I find the bissell. THe bissell is the same specs and pad/brush drive system- It does have the solution tank though. Good friend says that is crucial id I want to encap small jobs and t/a's. Should I return the Oreck and get the bissell- It will cost $160 more due to amazon return shipping and the additional cost of the bissell. Maybe I can modify the Oreck to include the shampoo tank, anybody ever do this? where would I drill for the solution port? The tank costs $49 alone.

Oh yeah, here is the bissell

I would order the bissell and compare the two first. Send back or sale off the one you don't want.
The Oreck has been around for awhile and the Bissell is new to the market. I agree on the value of a tank, but I would still want to compare them before I decided which one to go with.
It would also make a nice posting for the board...just saying.

Re: Help! Return orbiter for bissell?
Just got off the phone with Ron from Bissell commercial. The bissell is the same machine except for:
1 a better motor and warranty
2 control handles and not just a switch
3 solution tank
great shipping $15, mention my Co name for a discount! ( Service One)
It's on it's way, Orbiter is on it's way back

Re: Help! Return orbiter for bissell?
$499 plus $15 shipping- comes with 2 brushes one for carpet- one for tile- as well as some pads for floor refinishing and the driver for those.
Re: Help! Return orbiter for bissell?
This pic shows what you get- actually cheaper to order from Bissell. They will substitute brushes and pads as well. The Orange brush is the most aggressive. I was advised to get the blue brush better penetration for grout lines.

Re: Help! Return orbiter for bissell?
Anybody have any experience with excellent supplies FiberPlus encap pads? The sell 12" pads for these units in regular and max. Checked it out online. $19 for 5 pads and $14 plus for shipping, WTF? Really? Does it cost that much to ship 5 12" pads? If someone vouches for their quality and effectiveness I will buy them- still think the shipping is exorbitant. Don't get me started on excessive shipping charges....
Re: Help! Return orbiter for bissell?
That shipping is pretty high...they can't weigh that much. The price on the pads themselves is pretty good though.
Re: Help! Return orbiter for bissell?
work with a supplier by you, you should be able to get them cheaper....
The problem is, the pad boxes are odd shaped for shipping and they get dinged because of it..
