I was considering a Cowl silencer instead.

I downloaded the app you mentioned last night Rob. It hit 80 just with my daughter talking loudly. ill do another video today.

Ace and Rob are right, threw the floor under the van and also that welded muffler is much better then the cheaper tin can ver.

Are briggs engines louder Kohler? Are you hearing an engine more or a blower?

The Cleanco has exhaust going out through the bottom of the van...its quieter than many TMs and I can close the van and lock it. It pretty damn quiet.

To me it sounds like the blower is over powering the engine noise.........just like in your 1st video.

So if I were you, and you want to quiet it down, I'd start taking some of the suggestions from Rob and ACe, and work on the silencing the blower.

Mo's TM doesn't sound loud to me, sounds like my prochem sounds louder than his ?

That 84 for a TNT is pretty darn good actually. Mine hit 89 with the 20 hp Kohler....might have to investigate why the higher number.

Probably cause you have a 24 horse power engine and you're not exhausting through a heat exchanger Rob. It would be interesting to see what reading I get with out the HX

I have a Bates D-84 diesel TM. It came with a cherry bomb muffler and a thrush muffler end to end for the blower silencer. Didn't do that bad a job. I quieted it down a lot by piping both the blower exhaust and engine exhaust through a thrush pack muffler then into a silencer I bought from Hydra-Master. It works great. Unfortunately not all the noise from a machine comes from the exhaust. A lot comes from the body of the blower and engine themselves. The only way to deal with that is close up the truck and possibly use sound insulation.
