Theres a ton of threads on it on TMF, Im not talking about regrouting but using vapor steamers, etc to restore shower grout

Honestly have tried to read some threads but there is so much bs and off topic crap its hard to read through.

Somehow these guys claim to be removing hard water build up, mildew, all sorts of build up that high pH cleaning wont remove

using a vapor steamer, and other smaller items but no truck mount.

kind of interested in this, I like the idea of polishing the shower glass doors then adding a protective coating.. makita with special pads and glass polish.

anyone know how they use the vapor steamer and what other methods they use to make the grout look new?? they claim no TM, no color sealing, and no re grouting

spent like an hr reading some threads and its just endless bickering and garbage

Removing hard water deposits from glass with on solutions I could believe but years of hard water deposits on grout, tile is going to need some heavy duty grinding and agitation.

If the solution does remove years of hard water deposits you know its also going to remove the lining of your lungs as well.

I might be wrong though I bet Dave has actually tackled these shower stall jobs before

Im pretty sure I read no re grouting, but Id bet they still have to remove some for the areas that are eaten away by mildew

Sounds like someone is looking to clean people out of their money to me...are they selling the product as well?

We have very hard water around here and you are not cleaning a neglected shower stall with anything less than CLR and a chisel. Your lungs and every chrome accent would be toast.

Maybe they are just fighting soap scum....I can believe that.
