Beat Cintas today!

It wasnt but a month ago or so that I even realized they cleaned carpet....They arent here in my area...they are about an hour away. I got a call from an Edward Jones Investment office saying he wanted me to clean his offices....when he called they said I couldnt because its in house through Cintas! I thought, what the heck are they charging to drive two plus hours round trip to clean this place....well, the original caller called me back and said Cintas wants to charge extra to come here and if I can beat the price I can do it!....I beat it by one dollar! Its still within my rates and we only had maybe $15 difference between us....So, I get to do them and beat out Cintas. LOL thought you guys would like to hear this.

I think their using Zippers to clean CGD and their doing it cheap too.

I think they stopped using Zippers actually, but they do work pretty cheap in this area. Still very big in cleaning rugs and mats.

RR...with everything being so expensive on the Island...what are carpet cleaning rates like in your area? if you dont mind just curious, Ive never been but I hear things can be expensive there.

Devon, My base rate is .35 psf but can go down for large open areas and up for extra soiled. I've heard some are charging .50 However everything is high here. I ordered a small item from the mainland for $39.00 and they wanted to charge me $60 shipping. I declined.

Just place your order from all of us and when we make the annual Hawaii cleaners lounge bash we can all tuck an item in the suitcase.

Interesting, I always wondered about the rate when I lived down there. I would have thought 50 cents would be the norm due to shipping costs alone.

I still charge .35 in my locale and my shipping expenses are minimal in comparison. Are there good resources local for supplies that aren't price bloated due to shipping?

I thought it would be more also. How is the competition?...are there many others?
