Judson TNT Refurbish
So I found this TNT for a really great price. The sales rep at the janitorial supply house said the it was a trade in. So you know there's gotta be something wrong it. In looking at the two pictures it definitely needs a paint job. I know the tanks are 304 gauge stainless steel but the first thing I'm going to do make sure it doesn't leak.
I would normally request more pics, videos, info maybe sleep on it but I wanted to make sure I closed the deal right away. It certainly is going to be easier to refurbish this TNT than building a TM from scratch and a lot cheaper too
At this point I don't know if its on the way or sitting at a FedEx terminal.
Hers are the 2 pic. It sure looks lonely sitting on a warehouse shelf like that just waiting for somebody to give it a little love.

Re: Judson TNT Refurbish
Don't even think that. They're a pretty big janitorial supply house out of Tampa. I spoke the sales rep yesterday and he had them send me proof that they shipped it.
Re: Judson TNT Refurbish
good find MO, is it in running condition? The cool thing about Les is he will have no problem spending time with you on the phone to help with any issues.
He spent a half hour with me helping with my hydra cat, and I wasn't even his customer. a wonderful guy. I will never forget his generosity with his time towards me.

Any time you find a well designed mount for cheap, you win. Even if it was a basket case, you could restore it and be money ahead if you got it cheap.
I'm starting to hunt for a deal myself to slide into the future cube van. I hope there are some deals out there....

Re: Judson TNT Refurbish
According to the sales rep it was running when the guy traded it but I never saw it run. The TNT that was for sale here has videos pictured of the inside of the tank even.
I met Les at ICE definitely one of the good guys in this industry.
Good deals are out there Mil and a lot has to do with timing

That was purchased an hour from my house. That should be extremely easy to get up and going. Your gonna be in love with the simplicity. Don't get the #3 HT got fir the #4. More consistent high heat. On commercial I have a hard time staying at 200. Just saying.

Heck, I'm excited to see it and it isn't even mine. There is just something about new equipment that makes me happy...until it craps out on me, then it is just like the old machine.
Curious, how expensive was it ship? Still would like to find a judson near my area, but it hasn't happened in the last 3 years, so I might have to expand my search.

Re: Judson TNT Refurbish
Looking at it, I wouldn't bother painting it. Take a steel wool pad on drill and just polish it into an all-shine mount!
Re: Judson TNT Refurbish
Cheap...I expected twice that amount!
Maybe I need to expand my search area after all.

Re: Judson TNT Refurbish
Another thing is the rinse back siphons out of the water box when you turn off the machine. If left over night it will, over fill your jug into the van. Just happened again tonight. I have been draining the water box before I turn off the machine after last job. Or I'll just pull the draw line out and lay it in the floor step. I'm gonna just put a shut of valve in line so I can prevent that. Video coming when I get the time to buy the part and install.

I turn off my chem meter to avoid the back siphoning and haven't had any issues since.

Re: Judson TNT Refurbish
Sounds like you guys need a lil check valve on the end of your chem pickup tube?
Or do you have one and it's malfunctioning or no longer working??

Re: Judson TNT Refurbish
I've got the pickup screen on the end of the pickup tube and assumed it had a check valve in it that was malfunctioning but the hose is hard as a rock and needs to be replaced. So I just turn off the chem meter for now. I'm getting new hose, check valve and screen when I go to upholstery class next week. Hey Ryan, I know you don't like them up there, but I'll pick anything up for you that you need.

Mine has the check screen at the bottom but it Jair doesn't check. Maybe I need a different type.
Eric,
I would drive to Washington to Joe and pick up a $5 part before I would spend it with Sunbelt. I take my training at IL in Greensboro now. I've never felt so mistreated. It's sad for them, cause I spent over 10K with them in the last two years.
There is a lesson we can all learn from.
Enjoy the class though Eric. There is a little Mexican joint up the road that great. Torrejos
