Previous owner must have over-filled the tank a few times then. The water bath should keep the "gunk" from becoming airborne in that upright set-up, but if the waste tank gets too full, it will just get sucked right into the blower.
I think that is why Judson moved the blower location a little on the latest model.
Re: Judson TNT Refurbish
I'm so sick on sanding a few more areas to go
Looked better after I pressure washed it
Getting the paint off the top and underneath the mounting brackets are a pain.
I have to remove that blower to tank pipe. It wouldn't budge gonna have to heat that baby up. Any idea were I can get another one preferably stainless. Do you guys think I could use flexible exhaust hose? Or will it collapse.
The panel and gauges had paint on it

That thing sure does look GOOD in it's stainless form. Polish and buff it and you would have to wear sunglasses around it. The shimmer alone would attract customers.
Re: Judson TNT Refurbish
Mo, you have to admit that in it's present state it looks awesome!!!! Polished metal and braided lines would stand out from other cleaners. Guess I'm a sucker for polished metal instead of paint. Either way I can't wait to see your finished product.
Re: Judson TNT Refurbish
Mo, can I send you mine? That looks awesome.

Yeah and you don't have to worry about scratching the paint. Stainless is TOUGH and that is why people pay for that type of machine. Don't try and put lipstick on a PIG (JMO). I've said enough and it's your machine.....I'm sure the end product will look good either way you go.

I second that.milspec6 wrote:Mo, might be the best stripper in Arizona...so to speak.

Yes I would use the rubber marine exhaust hose to replace the old elbow. Because I have tried to get a replacement made at a muffler shop and they can't make the bend as tight. I like the other because when you get it cut and fitted then your done it won't rust out like the metal ones.

That wire on the left rear of the unit did you take it loose or was it like that when you got it.
The reason I ask is that's your waste tank shutdown switch. If it was disconnected when you got it that's why the hole was full of gunk. If you disconnected it then test it. It should be a normally open and close when you lift the switch inside the tank if no moving parts inside again there's the problem.

The more I see it shine the more I like. It will be cheaper too. The only thing I don't like is the weld burn marks
Re: Judson TNT Refurbish
If it is trouble finding that marine hose, just get me the dimensions and I'll send you the part. My brother owns a boat shop, shouldn't be a problem.

Mo, you can order the $hit and day long on the InterWebs, or just have Rob get it for you!

I messed around with the engine today. I put new plugs, oil filter, oil. I wouldn't stay running without carb fluid, the fuel pump is pumping fuel. The carb is probably full of gunk, I think it was sitting for a while. I took to the small engine shop to have them service and tune it up. Be ready when I get back from Californnication.

You should have brought it to CA, I'd have done it free.
