tool mounting porn
got some more layout done, took my tool box from shop and mounted it in the van
These clips are awsome, 2.30 for a 2 pack at home depot, once its clipped in you can shake the van with the tools
for anyone else with the tnt, this is how I secured the chem feed bottle works pretty good so far
the back wall of truck so far, still need to fit vacuum, inline sprayer, and prob more im forgetting
this truck went out for the first time today on real jobs after some testing at home... did this ridiculous house that only 3 people live in, 15 rooms
hot water on tap outside, first time ive seen that
more pics to come with chem shelf build out of vinyl planks from home depot super cheap

Re: tool mounting porn
I would love to work out of that set-up, makes my van just an irritation now,
The only concern I have with that truck is winter temps around here. I don't see any real way to insulate those roll-up doors. Then again, winter is slow enough that my van can handle the workload and maybe I would just store that box truck.
This has been a great build to watch. It isn't every day someone actually builds the same thing that you are drawing up on paper. It was a ton of help to see it visually.

Re: tool mounting porn
I hate grainy tool porn! A closeup money shot of those clips would be great.

Re: tool mounting porn
still a learning curve with the new set up... we have never ran Gas TM before so still getting used to no power cords and sometimes reaching for them.
Blower exit was blowing out the pilot light on the LG once the coil was up to temp, so I moved it back about halfway alongside the machine. Still was blowing out so we are using a corner guard to block the wind and that works great, heat is staying on.
water is scary hot with a 4ht, we have it set to just over warm and its really hot. Our 3ht needs maintenance so not used to this heat, reminds me of when the other one was new and running with clean jets.
We have parker parflex hose that is about 2.5yrs old, and was never run above 350-400psi but did in the beginning have prob close to 200f running through it. For the last year or so temps have probably only been around 170-180.
Do you guys think that it is safe to run this hose with high temps? or high pressure for tile?
I think maybe its better to be safe and replace it.

It depends on what clips you want, and how heavy you want to hang........the light duty broom type clips you can get everywhere Ace, Lowes, HD. If you want stronger type to hang heavy 1.5"-2" tools/wands....Like mine, the ones I posted pics of, those come from a local supplier.
BTW lookin' Gooood AC!!......I also wouldn't mind seeing some non-night grainy pics. lol
And would really like to see the way that hanging hose real is mounted?
That 15 rm house looks like a 2k min. job to me , what did you do there?

Your "grainy Pron" is caused by high ISO camera setting, and if shooting in low light or dark, especially without flash it causes pics to be real grainy, like yours........regardless if shot with a cell phone, point an shoot, or a real camera, a D-SLR. lol If you're shooting in "auto mode" you get the graininess, and even made worse by not using the flash.
Basically, low light forces the cam to use high ISO settings, and lack flash, which then equals grainy photos............or more commonly referred to as lazy "Auto mode", and lack of user camera knowledge.
No offense meant by this at all, it's actually a very common prob, most people don't know their way around a camera.
I was an amateur photographer in a former life, or something.

Ditch the old hose. My hoses were about 1.5 years old when I started getting more tile jobs. Previously, I used a portable on those jobs and when I cranked up the Butler to 900 psi....blew hoses all over the place. With all that extra heat and pressure...you will be getting wet soon enough.
Re: tool mounting porn
It was an iphone i shot it with, prob just didnt give it time to auto focus usually isnt like that in low light from what I remember.
I just did carpets there, but they said they want a reminder card to have it done 1x/yr, next visit will be tile cleaning in all the bathrooms. Carpet was brand new which I thought was a little wierd until she told me the house was vacant for a yr, then construction so she wanted the dust gone.
That house has 4 separate 200 amp panels, not sure why anyone with 3 people in a household would want it... theres no pool, not on a golf course, no view, not waterfront, no acreage
they could have any of those for what they spent with a slightly smaller house, they probably wont even use 11 rooms minimum just of the carpeted ones
I think new hoses are a must now that you say that, these could prob burst at any moment
I like the mytee, its okay the other one was several hundred more at jon don but seems to be the one most ppl like.

Re: tool mounting porn
the good news about paraflex.....it wont (or shouldnt) just BLOW.....it will pin hole and tell you when its ready to go...
Re: tool mounting porn
thats right, I remember that was one thing Joe said when he sold it to me... less risk because it wont just blow out suddenly.
Im ready to try something without so much memory though, the parflex is nice and light but man when its cold outside that stuff is miserable, so much memory until it heats up.
I think im going to try the sheifer skinny

I love your setup AcPower. If I bought a box truck it would probably be like yours with the multiple roll up doors.
Great job on the layout. Especially the hose reel inverted. Glad to see someone think outside the box. Hope you enjoy it and it makes a lot of money for you.
Re: tool mounting porn
Thanks Larry,
This truck was a gamble because the inside was full of stainless shelving, you couldnt fit even 1 wand in it the way I bought it... All little compartments for selling T shirts. It took a lot more work than expected to remove them, was owned by LA county fire dept and man they had some beefy rivets.
The first scare was when I went to drill out some rivets after buying it and I couldnt even penetrate the surface of them with a brand new drill bit. Realized they were titanium, but some were just stainless.
Ended up having to pay a guy to do it with a cutting torch, he took the job thinking that he was going to grind them out even though I told him these are not regular rivets or I would have just drilled them.
Took him 2 full days, 7am to 8pm with a cutting torch. With all the hard to reach spots this was some of the most miserable looking work ive seen someone do. He didnt ask for more money but I gave him an extra 200 because I know how it is, sometimes you bite off a little more than you can chew and I was expecting it after having tried myself.
He also got to keep all the stainless and sell it, which I surprised him with at the end... he was real happy then, there was a lot.
The truck looks good in the pics, but the roof isnt perfect has a few waves from water that got in there before it was repaired. I looked into a new box for the truck but all said and done with a side door it was going to be wayyyy too much $
