I got two new Hugger pics today, on a Big house/Mansion job I'm working on.   



Worked great for holding moving blanket in place to protect freshly painted wall from hose.   

Wow and a moving blanket! I love it. Thank you guys for supporting this tool. It really brings me a great deal of joy seeing people use these. It's something that I had been using every day for years and thought how it helps me. I just wanted other cleaners to see how useful they are. Thank you for your support! One real cleaner to another.
 

I thought Fuzzsucker had sent me pretty much every use of his Hugger there was, then I gotta get all stupid and have a picture contest.
Ya'll aren't even gonna help me pick the Winner, so I gotta pick one myself.

I started at the top and went down.
Every new picture I'd say, 'wow that's the best one', 'wow that's the best one', etc. I couldn't decide on a 'single best' one.
Then I went back through looking for which one would be best in a catalog.  Again, it was 'hey, that would be great', 'hey, that would be great'. But in the end I couldn't decide.

I feel I got myself into a pickle with this contest cuz there's really not one 'best' picture, imo.

I will have to say though, the one that stood out the most was the very last one, Dave's Hugger holding a whole furniture blanket.

Maybe because it was the last one, I guess I'll remember it the longest.  Anyway, I'm calling it the Winner this month.

Now I already have one new entry for June. That's right. We're goinna start over with another monthly contest. Best picture wins. Gotta email it to me to qualify... before the end of the month Dave!

First entry is another one from Bill Vivers. This guy is famous for some extreme pictures (he's a surfer ya know).  
He was the first guy I know of to hang a Y over a balcony.

And one of the first guys I knew of to drag a Y into a house.

Him & his guys are pretty good cleaners too...


Bill isn't posting here but he still gets my best service cuz he's always sending me pictures and telling me stories.

And Bill submitted the most beautiful Hugger scene for last month with the curved staircase and greenery in the background...


and now he's sending me a wild one, not even sure what he's got going on here (maybe ya'll can figure it out), that's just Bill Vivers for ya...

Used it again today, worked great as a 'corner guard' to protect iron stair railing, and scuff protection from the stair hook...............

May be Bill had to park in the parking garage on the higher level than the unit to be cleaned and ran the hose down and to the left a little, created the "sideways" look of the hoses.

DP do you have any Huggers yet?

Or is your thought, it's another one of those tools "that isn't important"?

Here's how I store and carry my Huggers. After trying several different places storing them in the van I've found this works best for me. They're easy to carry in the house like this as well. That's four of them on my vacuum.

I'm an idiot...I didn't realize it either. I kept wondering why you would run hoses across a house like that....here is my sign.  

I wore two on my head the other day cleaning out my waste tank to prevent slicing my head open on the broom clips. I often walked out bleeding in the past, but not this time.

Curious though, anyone interested in seeing a model with a band clip on both ends of the hugger?

When using it on a horizontal rail, it seems like a second clip would be useful. Sell a single band version for vertical objects and double band for horizontal objects.

I did look into that. However the double band almost doubles the price. Due to the high price of labor on the installation, the metal, and the strapping. So it would make the thing cost almost twice as much.

What you can do is take another one and place it upside down or just use it to cover the bottom of the first one to hold it down.

I was thinking about making a smaller model that would fit snugly over the hose itself with two or three bands. Maybe just long enough to cover your cuffs or maybe a longer unit that could cover 4 to 6 feet of hose.

All good ideas....I didn't even think about stacking them like that, good thing I bought 4 of them then.

That's an air mover.........I haven't used a portable in 21 years, esp in multimillion dollar homes.

My bad. I'm so used to getting wild & crazys from Bill, I didn't even think to rotate it,    Nevertheless, it was last month's winner. Bill got 2 free Huggers.

I was about to end the photo contest, but then got the photo from Eric, using the Hugger as a vacuum cleaner cover. I think it's a great idea in that this is a good way to keep down the dust that inevitably comes puffing out of all vacuum cleaners as they run. Nobody ever talks about this dust, but I bet if tests were done on it we'd see it as a significant source of pollutants... cancer causing pollutants...  probably a leading cause of cancers in carpet cleaners.  I used to drape a full size black plastic trash bag over my Kirby and was always amazed how dusty it got in there.  Better in there than into my lungs. Personally, I think we shouldn't be using vacuums attached to our extractors (we have the Dustin Dust Downer for a high quality, easy to use, lifetime durability product to product our blowers) that are vented outside.  Eric's way is a good way for you to monitor the amount of this dust getting into your lungs. It's probly gonna make the inside lining of the Hugger dirty so watch it using that on walls etc, but still a good idea, and probably the winner for this month unless somebody else comes along with a better use?
This will be the last month of the contest, as it appears we've finally exhausted the many uses of this product.
Maybe ya'll can send your pics to other cleaners you know... tell em if they don't like Joe, they can buy it from Mo.
