Re: my September video tip
Great info. Mike . I've often thought about using my power washing hose to clean tile with .
Re: my September video tip
Mike is your 3/8" hose 1 wire or 2 wire ?MikeW wrote:
The one I have is 2 wire and really hard to work with and would be the only draw back to using it for tile cleaning .
Re: my September video tip
The 3/8 hose is single wire scheiffer hose. I got it from Joe and its easy to work with.
Re: my September video tip
Yes, I'm glad you mentioned that. 3/8 hose does mean hotter water ATW. The 3/8 Scheffier hose from Joe is very easy to use, I've used it to clean carpet too.
Re: my September video tip
If you guys think it would be helpful I'll connect 2 12 flow titanium wands, both with temp gauges. One with 1/4 and the other with 3/8 hose, so we can see how much heat we get atw.
Re: my September video tip
Haha so true about Vertical videos!
Back OT......Great info/video, Mike. I had no idea of how much PSI loss there is with 1/4".
Thanks, again!

Re: my September video tip
It stands to reason with the 3/8" hose you are flowing more water therefore moving more suspended matter with less ease . I would rather use more flow any day with proper chemicals applied than using higher psi to accomplish the same feat .
Great job Mike .
I have noticed using a diesel fired burner that I can run a 8 flow wand with the temp set at 212 but with Joes thermometer at the wand 230 is achieved . This same setting with with a 4 flow wand the temp stays at 212.
Moving more water has to flush better and yield better results with less effort and the drying times haven't been any different .
I'm going to try this tile cleaning .
Roll Tide Roll !

Re: my September video tip
Thats super interesting. I would like to see that video done while triggering the tool to see the difference in held pressure there. I would wonder because most tools only have 1/4 built in.
Re: my September video tip
I'm pretty sure he was triggering the tool and showing that their basically was no drop in pressure using the 3/8" hose compared to the drop in pressure with the 1/4" .
Re: my September video tip
I was triggering the tool, that's when the pressure dropped.Fuzzsucker wrote:Thats super interesting. I would like to see that video done while triggering the tool to see the difference in held pressure there. I would wonder because most tools only have 1/4 built in.
Re: my September video tip
I just wanted to say more than winning a video contest, it feels good to her comments like.
Joe Bristor " Good video Mike: Raw. Unrehearsed. Unedited. USEFUL to Real Cleaners "
Larry Henson " Great info. Mike "
Davey Cracker " Great info/video, Mike "
Fuzzsucker " Thats super interesting "
Thanks guys, it feels good to help other cleaners. Before I started making videos I though no one would think all these things would be interesting or useful. But you never know when your tip or idea could help a fellow cleaner. I've got some more ideas I'm going to share and I hope more of you will share too.

Re: my September video tip
I got a few things to say, first of all LMAO @ Terry, I think that clip should be included in the contest, ha..ha..ha....
Second of all, when I first see the title of Mike's video, I thought for sure the 1/4" would have less drop in pressure, boy was I wrong, great video Mike.
Third of all, I was going to make a video this weekend but I had tons of work on saturday, didn't get home 'til late and didn't get a chance to grab some stuff at the store, so I will make it next month, stay tuned :-)

Re: my September video tip
Both are on live reels the same distance from the machine. I've done this same test with the same results with the hoses connected directly to the machine.
