Just had a conversation with Joe about 27, 35 and 50% peroxide. I will be getting by the drum or 5 gallon pales. PLEASE becareful when mixing this stuff. You need to wear eye protection and probably gloves. If you get in your eyes, this will permanently do damage. I have gotten on my hands and burns for awhile. Be careful guys.

Amazing how times have changed...people are thinking safety, and that is a good thing.

Back purifying water, we had these large rubber bladders that held the water being treated. Well, they normally sprung a leak from some sharp stick or rock and you would have to reach in to insert a plug on the inside.

Being built like a spider (all arms and legs) I was always the lucky one who had to reach in there to plug it. Sometimes I would have go waist deep in brackish water after we dumped in 25 lbs. of powdered bleach.

The concentration was so high that it not only left chemical burns on the skin, but I was blinded by it for about 6 hours. At least I got it plugged before I nearly passed out.

It sucked to be the 17 year old private!

Do be careful with everything that you do, you don't want to tell stories like the above because you were a fool....no matter who tells you to do it.
